Slight glitch.... Cannot collect from all mines.
New wall moving feature is great. I finished moving all of my walls in a minute (Th8). Sadly you can not rotate the row of walls you select, but you can't ask for too much right ;)
Wonder if this is going to be another 3+ hour break.
When is this break going to end, anyone got the update and played it?
I was lucky enough to get into the game, but at least 80% of the time I could not search for a raid. That tells me that 80% of the servers weren't working. I did find raids though, recorded a video and posted on YouTube. Only briefly dropped a few WB to check out the new AI, worked ok, but I was expecting them to go deeper.
Edit: The Dark Barracks costs 750,000 elixir to build, but it takes 3 days.
Anyone know how many levels there are? Does the initial build only unlock 1 troop?
I had 250/220 troops, I wanted to attack someone with 250 troops but the matchmaking wasn't working.
Looks like it coming back up now let's hope this time it stays up...

Just started the first minion upgrade -- 10k dark elixir, 10 DAYS to complete.
Still stuck at loading screen loads for a bit then shuts down, are there other people with this problem?

Try a hard restart if it's not:
1. Double tap on the home-button so that a row of icons (open apps) appear at the bottom.
2. Tap and hold on the Clash of Clans icon until it starts to wiggle and gets a red dot with a white stripe in the upper left corner.
3. Tap on the red dots on the icon to quit the game
4. Double tap on your home-button again.
5. Restart Clash of Clans
I think I got a little overly excited about minions... The air mine (4000 gold one)'s explosion radius is huge. Keeping four of them up is a trivial amount of money (16k gold). I just dropped 20 minions to see how they would swarm and they ended up pretty spread out, one air mine triggered and blew up and took out 17 of them. Considering air mines are useless against the other flying troops, the blast radius seems excessive for how many it can kill in one blow. If they are going to stay like this, the price of the air bombs need to go up to something similar to the giant bomb, so they aren't just always expected to be used.

To be fair, i anticipated this, so i was only dropping in a couple at a time until i triggered one, then the rest went in and did pretty well.
Like that the minions are only 6DE and 10000 initial upgrade. Thought it'd be priced ridiculously high.
Not sure if its just me but i'm seeing far more gold and elixir when i'm out raiding.
All in all, i'm quite happy with the update.

Not imperessed with WB. Not clever at all, just different AI. Did you beta test before rekeasing? Thus far only way to get in to base is through corners. Very dissapointed in you, Supercell.
I agree, the new WB AI sucks. Im not going to bother using them. Do you need the DE barracks to be complete before you can upgrade DE troops?
PS - you guys seen the "coming soon" in the space for the 5th spell?? Was that always there?
Gemmed 3 armies. 1 pure minion, 1 pure hogs and 1 pure valks.
Minions are pretty awesome, will def be better against lower th with weaker defenses, they get hit hard by wizard towers.
Hogs are pretty weak, they are better used in a support role, take out the majority of single target defenses or send in tanks before deploying em and use them halfway through an attack to reach defenses still surrounded by walls.
Valks are just pure awesomesauce, double the dips along with higher hp than level 5 giants at level 1 they chew through walls and cc troops. Throw a rage down and egg style defense bases melt with them holding aggro off everything else.

My Valkyries are currently level 2, and honestly they seem very very powerful, maybe overpowered.

With my next attack, I went out and did the same thing, tried to trigger as many mines as possible with them, which helped, but a smart base design will keep the air mines in deep so they wont trigger until you feel safe to drop your minons and they have a higher chance of clumping, and 4000 gold can potentially wipe them all out. I don't know if having the potential of mass wipeouts for them taking 2 space is worth it.
Think about it like this, 20 minions = 40 food spots, which you could replace with a ton of other options. Giant bombs are the only thing which can wipe out troops en-masse and they cost 50k gold per and take 2x2 space to place on the ground. An air bomb costs 4000, will seek after it's target, and can be put down in 1 spot in a base. The explosion radius is larger then a giant bomb by significant margin. Air bombs were about useless before (only good for big balloon attacks), now they are way to OP to the point it makes an entire unit almost completely useless.
You're seeing more gold and elixir because people just haven't logged in yet to click their mines -- wait until this evening and it will be back to normal.

Already started my hogs 2 they appear to gain double stats at max level so would def be more viable then. So they might be weak now, but with around 100dps and 600hp they will make more of an impact.

Game still won't load, been trying for hours now. I even reseted my iPod touch (4g) completely etc. I get the message "Connection error" "Unable to connect with the server. Check your internet connection and try again." And yes my internet does work.
I'm located in Denmark if it has any importance.
I am one of gem player and have spend lots of Ponds and time to reach top 10. But above 3000 trophy there is no 7 day shield. These make us play again and again which waste too much time to maintain the top place. We need work in our real life and we also do not like that after one day our work yesterday all ruined by one attack.
Please bring back the 7 days sheild before we too tired to quit the game.

Hog rider is really weak! Valks are really good when not in the front lines, so they don't take a lot of damage, minions are rally effettive in huge swarmes.

Couple thoughts... You spent over a week promoting a new update which caused most of us average players to hoard resources/gems and delay updates not knowing what to expect. (Did this help your profits?) Then what do we get? A Barrack that takes 3 days to use and a new flag...kinda anticlimactic don't you think? Would have been cool if there was 0 build time on the new barrack but I'll wait out 3 more days to actually use the new update.
WB AI SUCKS. Can't even go in a straight line and attack next level. Keeps bombing front or side walls. Old WB much better and could've done more with 2 of those than 3 or 4 of the new WB AI.
Have to say, SC dropped the ball for the average player who doesn't do a lot of gemming. All that glorious anticipation! I waited a week for the update and will see totally nothing apart from a variation in wbs for three more days. Way to make me yawn.

Why bother with a feedback thread at this stage, unless you KNOW many will gem. You could have been slightly more subtle and requested this thread on the 15th.
As I predicted this update is just more pandering to those players with deep pockets. I had a look at the villages of a few top players and they all already had the dark barracks maxed to level 3.
I recall Nick saying that Supercell was committed to making sure the game was fair to all players at all levels. This update does nothing to convince me of that.

Well, after trying the new DE troops, I feel that they are there only to help gemmers who stuck at low trophy-high TH level. Don't take me wrong, they're extremely powerful, but the cost to built and upgrade isn't going to cut it for your average player base. On the other side, this is a very elegant (company PoV) way to help the stuck gemmers, by forcing them to gemming DE, they can literally raid anyone, heck, even someone who only play for one hour can 3 star Jorge Yao if he can get him now... Well, as long as they're happy, right? They're the paying costumers, the heck with the free loaders, right? Second, by making people gemming DE, I think it will solve the "DE-is-so-rare" problem without the need to deploy any kind of upgrade to DE production, like adding another drills for TH 7 or increasing the speed the DE drills produce. This way, DE will still be the "rare" resources", but supported by gemmers for all.
Hmmm... If more players (gemmers) begin to buy more DE... Wouldn't that increase the quantity available to everyone via:
1) Raid-able DE
2) Tombstones (albeit a minuscule amount, is still DE)
But yeah, it seems to be geared towards gemmers and even farmers that can get their hands on a decent amount of DE ( I get 200+ per raid )
Yes, that's what I'm trying to say. Because a lot of people will gem their DE, DE now will be more available to everyone, without the need of them to increase the DE production speed or adding the number DE drills can be built. Sorry, English isn't my mother language ~_~
Im so disappointed about the DE troops, I gemed the time to see it in action. Until i reach level2 barracks to unlock the Hog rider, in my suprise trying my my new DE troops Hog Rider Level 1, i only see them running and they died very easily without damaging anything.... Poor hog rider. So as the minion.

but I hate hate hate the new wallbreakers! I hate using them instead of them going to the second bit of walls(into the middle bit where all the good stuff is at) they go to the sides etc. very annoying and I seem to be wasting more of them than before. And I hate being attacked with them, 3 raids all taking alotta loot! :( what layouts are safe?! Can't do spikes, can't do layers.. What to do?? Really disappointed in the game if there bringing in wbs like this they should of brought in something to help defend your camp more!
Just so I leave on a positive note, I do love the fact you can move multiple pieces of wall. :)

1. Hate WB AI. It is bot more powerful since they are all stupid in different ways. Now, i cant rin straight to 2nd or 3rd layer with WB but before deploy them I have to clear the buildings around first. Or i can bomb other nearest wall comparments before the nearest thing is second or third layers. This use a lot of WB. Maybe the same amount or even more than the old WB depend on ehat type of base you try to raid. However, WB now take two spaces.
One thing that great for offense but bad for defense is now splash damage of WB increase so they can bust double walls now.
2. Dont like new troops Ai. Now, my troops still target building while being killed by CC troops or heroes from the opposite. Previously, my troops will just change to fight CC troops and heroes first. Dont like the new one. We have to put archer near the heroes and make ure there is nothing nearer to make archer target heores now. Otherwise, they will shoot building hut while heroes kill them, or may be 20+ archers will getting one hit kill by the dragon from CC while they aimlessly shoot for builder hut. Why make them more stupid?

I think this update is ok but looks like a slipshod work. I am very sorry but it is really what i think.
Moving multiple pieces of walls and new PEKKA production time are the two best updates.
Minions is cheap but ♥♥♥♥. I don't know about the Hog Rider and Vakyries.
I haven't seen any difference in the interface improvements except that now it is extremly annoying not to be abble to collect ressources when taping to the little label on top of the collectors. Please change this bug!
I think the new laboratory screen is certainly nice and I like to be abble to see other available updates while updating BUT the design is really uggly and the way it is displayed not so intuitive. Please consider changing the scrolling of the list from horizontal (left to right) to vertical (from to to bottom the list).
Other windows look also a bit clunky and it seems to be a draft: logos/buttons of units seems to be lost in the new size.

I have also noticed problems with my clan chat. People chatting with me with seems to go offline suddenly and then the chat display that the discussion took place 17hours ago... It especially happen when i chat with clanmates from different time zones. i am in France and if i speak with someone in the US it is fine but as soon as someone for another time zone pop-up and start chatting it bugs...
Another point why am I located in the Netherlands for god sake!!! i have been emailing support for 3 times already and nobody answer to me about this issue. I have a French Apple ID but no this game keep putting me in the Dutch leaderboard. Could you link the local board with the IP Address please? That would help fixing it. Really cause that is annoying!!! I am happy to help you further with this if you need details.

Might not be too relevant to the thread but the new barrack really looks like a public toilet.
First off, let me just say that I love the new redesign tool! Makes wall moving a million times easier. Thanks for that one!
Now for the more serious stuff. Wallbreakers are what has people in a fit. Honestly, I think many people are overreacting to a change before properly experimenting with them. People will come around to liking them better as they get used to them, and base designs will get crafty once again. In the meantime, just segment your base and play with the new AI to get the hang of it. All in all, though, I don't really see the new AI as warranting doubling the number of camp spaces each one takes up. Sure, they will certainly be worth it in some situations, but it appears that attacking a well designed base just got more costly, because attackers will have less troops remaining to destroy the base (or steal the resources). This is all still up in the air, though, and many conclusions that people have made so far and will continue to make in the next few days (my own included) could very well be proven wrong.
As for the new troops, I see them as a fun addition to the game. I got to try out all 3 yesterday, thanks to my wonderful clannies , and even at level 1 they were interesting. The minions could prove to be a real force against certain types of bases when using a bunch of them. The videos of 100 minions that have already surfaced seem to indicate they could take on some moderately strong bases almost by themselves. The valkyrie and Mr. T (yes, I will not call them hog riders) seem like they are more useful as supplementary troops. Personally, again with very limited use, I wasn't a fan of Mr. T, but think the valkyrie was a real beast of a troop. I don't think any of these troops really justify the DE cost, at least at this point, unless you are in a range where DE is plentiful. All in all, I can't see myself using these terribly often, but that doesn't mean I don't think they are fun.
As far as dragon/pekka/wizard changes, that gets a thumbs up from me. I raided someone yesterday with a few wizards in their CC, and boy they suddenly got much more useful as a defensive troop. I haven't ran into a drag yet, but I think the effect will be noticable there too. I like this change, because having a drag shot down by a handful of archers was almost silly. Now that they can fight back, it makes them much more useful both in the CC and against CC troops on offense. As for the reduced costs of pekkas/drags and shortening of pekka training times, sounds alright too. I am pretty indifferent to it as a farmer, but I can see that trophy chasers will see a mild benefit from it, so good for them.
Again, though, they socked it to TH 9s. Why they didn't reserve the valkyrie (or even Mr. T) for TH 9 and why they made the loots even worse for them doesn't make much sense to me. They further incentivized keeping your TH level low, which goes against the premise of the game. I understand the need to protect new players, and I support it to a degree, but when players want to stay away from TH 9 because of it, I think it becomes a bit of a problem. The addition of level 6 troops in the last update (and the archer queen in the one before that) fooled me into believing that they were finally trying to make TH 9 attractive, and it is now clear that that was not the case. Maxxing is now more important than ever.
All in all, I don't think it was a bad update (in fact it is wonderful for my play style), but I can't help but feel it was overhyped. Yes, there are some cool features and the new troops weren't really a letdown either, but the only thing that will really affect gameplay is the change in the wb AI (something I think at least some people will never be satisfied with). Aside from a few bugs, though, it was a solid update and once everyone adapts things should go pretty much back to normal.
I disagree with this conclusion. I feel DE will be more scarce and that SC needs to add a drill to each TH level. These troops will be a big drain on how much people have stored up. You got that barracks there so spend some of your DE to get an army faster. Sure lots will gem more into existence but in reality it will be spent right away to upgrade these troops and thus will not be raidable. People wont buy 20,000 DE to sit in storage. They will gem it when their lab frees up and they want to start their next upgrade. Hope I'm wrong!
9 DE drills?? UMADBRO?! I guess there should be at least 3-4.... But I'm hoping these will be for TH8-9 since TH7s AREN'T WORTHY...!!! There got too much stuff and loot and will be happy staying there and won't move....
back to the thread... Those MRT look tough but not that strong..... Valkerie look beast but are really expensive and I'm not sure of the stats.... However minions are really cool.... I wasn't gonna use them but when I saw that vid of 100 minions I took my word back..... I was really surprised how you could donate them.... Cool update
Very, very annoying to collect now. Used be able to do multitouch collection easily and now have to hit the base of the collector / mine perfectly or it doesn't work.
Maybe a "Collect All" button that appears when there is one or more resource to be collected?
To me the AI change to Wallbreakers is interesting. I'm using a lot more of them than before, but that may decrease as I get better with them.
I think the most overlooked aspect of the this change is the now inability to protect elixir by queuing large numbers of WBs. You used to be able to protect 300k+ (up to 500k+ at high levels) elixir from raids and now that's cut in half.
I think the Housing Space was increased to free up more elixir to raids. The queue protection strategy was made possible (at least easier and safer) by the change last year that stopped the destruction of troops in destroyed army camps from also dying. Hiding elixir in barrack queues was presumably never an intended or encouraged strategy.

I was attacked last night by 36 level 5 Hog Riders and 2 level 5 Minions from revenge. As you can see, the guy only managed 46%. The 1 star lost is from the TH placed outside. The loot is decent though, but for the 1800+ DE needed to train it, it hardly seems worthwhile.
Granted, probably spamming them from 1 spot was not the best choice, nonetheless, they're not as formidable as their hype. Do notice also that 1 Air Bomb took care of the Minions.
At the time, I was upgrading 1 X-Bow, 2 Teslas, 1 DE Barrack.

I am currently a trophy hunter, but was a farmer for a long time (I did max out th9 with farming, except walls and hero's). I see zero use for the new troops for farmers. Maybe a few minions if you don't really care about dark elix because then you can build your armies faster (i.e. you essentially have 5 barracks pumping out archers as minions are really just flying archers).
As a high level player (Jeff in 'The Uprising') that uses dragons only (shameless plug https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNh...7PPuMSw/videos) there is no change to my strategy with dragons. For high trophy players that use pekkas (which I never do) there is some potential to swap out a few pekkas for valks, seeing this used more at the high levels, but pekkas are still better. Otherwise I do not see these troops being used for attacking at high trophies or for farmers.
Mr. T sucks, I have no clue how anyone could make effective use of this troop, insufficient health to survive the front lines, but because he can jump walls he will always be in the front lines. Only potential use is to use a few with a giant/healer army when the air defense is close to the edge, then they can be used to take out the air def. But 2 wall breakers and giants would do this anyway!
I was really excited for the new troops, but seems like a let down. I have to thank supercell though, I am a gemmer and this update cost me $0 (well, I did gem the dark barracks, but that was only ~500 gems). For anyone that says supercell is greedy, I hope you take note of this update, they reduced the cost of dragons/pekkas (most gemmed troops in the game) and even reduced pekka build times. This update was in no way a money grab. But I have not seen that point being made on the forum yet .... upcoming general thread post :)
As others have said, it would be nice to make DE slightly less rare. The good thing about CoC is that unlike many similar games, everything in the game is attainable if you're willing to wait long enough; however, the waiting time for DE is quite high compared with other resources...granted, the purchases DE can buy are generally more valuable than those of gold and elixir. Perhaps a compromise can be reached, say, increasing DE-related upgrade times in exchange for pumps producing 15% more per hour than they currently do. Just an idea.
I totally disagree, having maxed my Mr T, I pity the fool who can't use him right. Mr T is a lean mean Mortar/Wizard tanking machine, when I got those archers and barbarians swarming behind me I feel like I have performed at an A level for my Team.

I would love to offer some constructive feedback on the dex troops, but as there is still a day and a half remaining on the build time, I cannot.
My sole feedback is therefore, could you not have give a shorter initial build time for this?
Kinda like opening a bar early but not serving any drinks. Kills the party, somewhat. My enthusiasm for the update fell off considerably when I couldn't get to see anything from it.

Fair enough, what trophy level are you at? I assumed farmers would not want to spend the dark elix when wall breakers can take out the walls for giants, and for high trophies mortars/wizard towers are useless in defense so there is no need to take them out, they do virtually no damage to dragons/pekkas.
Maybe it has been addressed already if so I'm sorry.... Did the lv2 upgrade time for DE barrack suddenly increased? Yesterday it was 4 days, I know because I plan my upgrades carefully. It says now 5 days :mad: more peeps having this problem....
I like the troops the way there are right now.
I had 10 Minions attack my village and they got destroyed by a Tesla. No dark tombstones at all left behind.
Bug or do they need to survive till the end to get the elixir?

You don't get a tombstone on every kill. Think about how many tombstones you normally see on an attack from 180 or so troops. I only get 15 or so.
