TH 9 To TH 10... WHEN!!!

Hi guys,
Recently, I've been thinking about upgrading my town to town hall 10. My clan mates all told me I should too. The reason I haven't yet upgraded it is because of TH loot penalty. I was wondering if any of you could help me decide what levels my troops and defences should be... pls give a detailed response. Also, I know you will say walls to 8 or 9 so if you do, can you please tell me how many and how you can get walls upgraded quickly as I have all lvl 7 walls and am finding it hard to get lots of loot for lvl 8 walls. You could tell me an attack strat that gets you heaps of GOLD (who cares about elixir) but because I am only on for about 3 hrs a day, pls tell me a good one. Thankyou, if you can respond to any of my dilemmas pls give a detailed response to either 1 or both. Cheers

you have trouble getting loot because you're already a th9, don't make it worse

im a 2 week old th7 and i got the same walls as you

im guessing you don't have many if any level 6 troops. if you don't, then upgrading those will help you the most

you can go TH10 anytime if you're playing in crystal league...

I guess, you get less loot because you farm on low level league,
go to Gold2-Gold1...

I actually have all level six troops possible at the moment except for goblins and wizards and also I have max storages at the moment so loot is fine. Even though I have max storages I'm wondering if their is any faster way to get them upgraded (e.g. army composition).

Look im on the same boat as you, a th9 thinking of just moving to 10 but dont want to loose resource income. The thing is...when farming below crystal th9 is the best, farming crsytal at th9 is a bit tricky and you cant really loot as much as youd like, but going to th10 u can go further into crystal and loot more resource full towns. Great that u have lvl6 troops otherwise it would be impossible. This is the point were u have to heavily invest in upgrading a dark army or both ur heros. I hope you have max drill cause this helps out even more. As for the walls i have all lvl 7 walls and honestly regardless of what people think, I will not keep working on them until i am a well off th10. The price of walls is so expensive past lvl7 that u can upgrade almost all ur defenses to max level with the price of just going to all lvl8 walls ( or something close to that), so for myself i will wait on the walls and finish up some last defenses on th9 and move up to th10. It is of most importance u upgarde as much elix stuff as possible i.e. Camps drills etc. because elix will run very low once u farm in high crystal as a th10. So make sure you get those things first and go on and get them infernos((: because trust me we all want them now((: haha

Yeah thanks so much this really helped, though I am farming at the moment and I think I will stay for a bit longer till I have maxed my base then I'll do a push to TH 10. Thankyou:cool:

It would be easier if we could see your base than a book definition of when you are ready for TH10

I, myself, upgraded when I had no elixir upgrade available. Which means, all my builder should have been on defenses and heros, which I couldn't sustain (I only play 2-3 hours a day).

So I finished:

army camps
barracks
dark barracks
all level 6 upgrades in the lab.

By that time:

xbows were level 3
teslas where level 6
wiz towers were level 7
air defenses were level 7
mortars were level 7

only needed work on cannons and archer towers

Upgraded to TH10. Built both IT, upgraded lab, upgraded castle and then went back to cannons. Still haven't touched my crappy level 10 archer towers.

As for loot, I'm at crystal 2. I get plenty DE. Enough gold to keep my builders busy.

So if you want to stay in gold league, remain as th9. If you want to upgrade your heros, you can upgrade to TH10

And by the way, I still have level 7 walls here and there. No rush there for me.
