Besides that which facescraper has said what about other things like donations to the CW cc and the extra donations to the CW itself? You have to calculate that into things as well. So sure, I use a typical army during CW and don't "lose" much, but at the same time I spent over 1 million elixer on donations this week in two wars! (I am one of the only people with maxed troops and want our CW cc to have the best troops.)
Besides that, just the general vibe and gameplay is completely different during CW. I'm sure this will taper off as the novelty does as well, but for now I'm sure most clans are veeeery focused on the war itself and put farming/pushing on the back burner whilst the war is going. I know ours does, as do many of the other folks I've talked with.
I hope I have my clan talked into one war per week, on the weekend. This seems to be the best time for people in our clan to be around and have bases sorted out etc, not to mention more time for the war itself. That is more than enough for me as these last four days have been ridiculous.
The good news is our we have outscored our opponents 236-163 in our last two 45vs45 so at least we got off to a good start!
