New clans
So when you start the game brand new you only get to use the barbarian clan. I would think it would be cool if when you started the game you could pick one of the following:
Goblins
Elves
Dwarves
Barbarians - Currently the only available
Each of the different races would have similar armies but have different little qwerks about them.
Front line Dwarves would be a little slower in movement but they have more hit points and pack a bigger punch when they hit things. Dwarves wouldn't have archers but would instead use crossbow troops who would have a little less range then an archer but do more damage and have more hitpoints. Dwarves would have a king and queen heros. King would have a warhammer/gauntlet and queen would use a crossbow.
Elves would be more range based so there frontline troops would move faster but have less hitpoints and not do as much damage per hit. Eleven archers would have a little bit better range and damage but there hitpoints would be lower. The Elven king and queen would both carry bow and arrow. Elven king would have a little bit more range and damage but the queen would move faster.
Goblins would be more interested in loot and general mayhem. There frontline troops would be a little slower then the current goblins due to armor and weapons. They would do less damage to defenses than say a barbarian warrior but still do tons of damage to resources similar to the current goblins. Goblins wouldn't have archers but instead use slingshots which would have less range but more damage. Goblins would have a king and queen. King/queen would be faster than the current barbarian king and queen and do less damage to everything but resources where it could take about 1 hit to destroy most collectors and about 2 to 3 for storages.
Those are just a few examples I can think of for the troops. Thoughts, comments, criticism.
