TH8 and 40k DE

Hi guys! I've decided to upgrade my th to level 9 in next weeks. Now I'm doing my last planned upgrades and saving up 40k DE. And here comes troubles. I've reached 30/31k of the black precious fluid and here i'm stuck. A bit of bad luck (nobody snipes my th) caused me big losses (this night i've lost 4189 of DE).

How can i save up 40k DE? How can i protect my storage? What is the best strategy to farm DE?

Crystal is good for DE farming.

how can you loose 4k dark elixir in one night? the cap is 1500. i'm a 2 week old th7 with 100k dark elixir stolen. all you gotta do is get to that 30k or where ever you are stuck and farm the remaining 10k in one sitting. you're th8 so you get way better dark elixir than me. if you have to, boost your spell factory and drop level 5 lightning spells every 7.5 minutes. you should be able to get the 10k in like 3 hours.

It's quite simple. Bad guys attack my storage and leave without giving me the shield. I think boosting spell factory is a very good advice! Thank you very much

There is no 1500 cap my th8 base lost 2000 de on a raid 2 days ago. Also he's not level 7 so he probably isn't de zapping really de zapping at any level besides 7 is kinda sad but people do it still cause they are to lazy to raid it.

The cap isn't 1500 but 2000. Moreover at th8 you become a prey for th9 who can steal you a max amount of 1800 easily. you little th7 can only lose 500 de or so. Then please don't compare.

you should take or build a village with high de protection. No need to spend gems to zap people you can easily raid them "normally" to have your de
By zapping people you'll make them mad and they'll wreck your base (because obviously the ones being zapped are far stronger than you are)

exactly as he said zapping will get you into more trouble then it's worth.

Ok…sometimes i zap people in revenge when they have 1000+ De available. Maybe i can boost and zap TH10 guys…let's see…
Any other advice on High protection layouts, farming range or army composition?

i loose 1k a night when i go offline but i can easily zap 10k a day

Dude 4k de raided is not somethin real... I have 37k de in my tank now and i offer 1800 de to th9 2k to th8 and abt 2200 somethin to th7 pls do talk abt something more believable
