I don't think you would have a traumatic experience if you went now, to be perfectly honest, but you could certainly use a while longer at TH 7. I think I may be partially responsible for this, though, so I do feel the need to reiterate the warnings. TH 8 is not bad, but it is worse as far as loots go. I am sure you already know that drill, but be careful and remember there is no going back.Quote:

That's what I was planning on doing pre-update, but with a new flying troop, a wall jumping troop, and non-♥♥♥♥♥♥ed wbs, I've begun to view walls as holding less importance.Quote:

Wall breaker and units that can jump walls as well as area of effect unit (which is a first I think except for healer) might make you want to have more walls to segment your base or more defenses to destroy things faster. I believe in quality over quantity personally though.:D
Bottom line I maxed everything before moving up, but you might not want to do that, because this new update will probably change all of our long time philosophies on farming.
you might be able to do them while it upgrades if it's the only thing you concentrate on... 200k a piece to go to dark purple and th7 raids are anywhere from 100-200k with a few next match clicks at the right trophy level. raid with gobs and barbs for quick loots, only raid easy bases with filled collectors outside...

Now that the update is here, stay at Th 7 (and for that matter Th 8. oopsies on my thread :p) as long as possible. They reworked loot to further incentivize staying at a lower Th.
I'm at TH7 and it looks like about all of your buildings are around the same level as mine. And I decided to go to TH8 because of all the DE based troops.
