Need advice re: putting HD on my phone

I have played HD on my iPad only, but have been toying with putting my farm on my iPhone, as well, mainly to send off Tom if he happens to be ready for another run while I'm out and about.

Here is my big question: When my grandkids are here, I allow them to play on my iPad and iPhone (have Angry Birds on phone for them). They know not to play HD and have several other games on the iPad just for them. I'm wondering if it would cause a problem for my farm if I were to remove HD from my phone whenever there is a chance they will use my phone to play games, so that they don't try to sneak some playing of HD, and then reinstall it once that "risk" is gone.

I am on android so this might be wrong, but from the app market Ive obtained an app that puts a PIN on any app I choose thus eliminating the threat of anyone looking into my texts for instance. Surely there would be a version for this on IOS as well?

Lockdown iPad/iPhone for kids

My app is called Applock, but as Im on android you might have to find some other. Your best option is to search for something related to privacy since most use these kinds of locks are to keep folks out of their private matters (like call history, texting, phonebook). My version is free with minor adds involved.

I have set to ask for a pin on literally every app I have to prevent accidental activation of all kinds of things. It for instance makes it simply impossible to accidentily call someone since that requires my phonebook and thus triggers that lock :).

Adding to my previous post, make sure your device is password protected. Guided Access won't allow you out of the app without a password but you are able to reboot the device. It will not boot back into Guided Access.

I think that as long as you have your game backed up to Game Center, you can delete the app from your phone. When the kids are gone, you can put it back and connect back to Game Center to reload your game. It would be the same as if you had purchased a new device and wanted to use it instead of your old one. Check out the sticky on how to recover your game. It might tell you more. But I like the idea of some kind of child lock for certain games. That could be good for lots of things.

Thank you for all the helpful notes. I decided to put the game on my phone and had no problem bringing up my farm without losing anything. Then, I noticed that the icon was on the 3rd page over...nice, since the little ones don't usually swipe that far (Angry Birds is in a folder on the first page so it's easy for them). Then it hit me! I added it to the Utilities folder...they NEVER go in there! Now the icon isn't out in plain sight, even if they do swipe beyond the first page. :)
