Okay im going to try ORZs anti hog base for this upcoming clan war, if I'm not satisfied im running with your first base design
If you do so it'will become a good (probably better) overall base, but it won't deal well with hogs anymore, i.e. you'll break the anti-hog ring. ;)Quote:

I can see this base has walls separating defenses which will make this better against giants than Orz's Tesseract, where giants can run around the base without the need to breach walls. Tesseract has a more centralised clan castle though. I am wondering which base is stronger against hogs, giants and balloons overall and which one is better for farming.

I've was digging through Google searching endlessly for a true example of a Th8 anti damn near anything layout. I have to commend you on your efforts and thank you for your time spent wracking your brains to finally pull this gem out of your head.
Unfortunately I'm too inept to post a replay, but to give you a brief summary, 10 L3 hogs, 71 L5 archers, a good hand full of L6 giants, and the kitchen sink.
Well hogs came first, and right off the bat four goes flying off the map, rest got blown up and zapped by wizard towers, then came the giants, double giant bombs nailed them down to half, and point defenses and wizard towers finished them off.
I couldn't stop watching the replay because it was just so damn amusing, I could hear the attacker's screams of frustration and anger each time I watched the replay (this was a th10 attacking me by the way).
DE was untouched and only two EX storages and one gold were lost due to AQ.
Again, thank you for sharing this great layout with the rest of the clashing community and giving future Th8's a better fighting chance of saving what they've raided so hard for.
There were two other layouts I was considering, but after reading post comments and reviews, I chose your because theoretically it was the most sound and logical set up that can pretty much tackle just about anything.
TL DR:
Great job, thanks for sharing, highly recommended for current and future Th8's.
