THE CLAN WARS STRATEGY: Clans with mixed (Good/bad) bases- how to win

For clans that have a mix between good bases/players and those who have not yet made it to TH 7 going up against a strong clan, here is the strategy:

Send in your weak players to target their strongest, telling them to lure out CC troops, and try to set off traps and teslas. When you watch the replay, your strong players will know what CC troops their strongest players have, where their traps are, and where their teslas are, giving them the opportunity to plan their attack against your enemy clans strongest players.

If there are any bases with THs exposed, send in your weakest players to take those out on their second attack.

No, no, no. That's how to waste members' precious attacks.

You do realize each member only gets two attacks, right? You try this strategy and tell me if you win.

Since that would be sacrificing stars, and most likely the war, I would recommend against this.

However it does make sense to have the weaker members attack first, and use their first attack against a base they think they can get 2 stars against, then their second attack against a potential three star.

Much like running a relay its best to have the stronger players go last, so they can pick up any 3 star opportunity that may otherwise be lost and if the weaker members have done well they can focus on the more challenging bases.

Don't waste valuable stars scouting but do let the weaker players do the initial attacks

If you have horribly weak members in your clan and you are in a war against very strong members it makes sense to send in your members who don't stand a chance as guinea pigs and help give your stronger members an advantage when attacking for real.

I still don't know if you are serious or just trolling ... But here is a thought for you that apparently never crossed your mind: Why not use your weak members to attack their weak members and win a couple of stars for your team?

If you have WEAK members, and you are warring against a clan with ALL STRONG MEMBERS (Meaning no weak ones- third time I've said that), then my suggestion is sensible.

As others replied in thread, I don't find anything wrong with this strategy. Since in a 20vs 20 . with each player having two attacks. There's are 40attacks for a side to take 20bases. So actually only 10good players are needed. Other 10 can be used for scouting, if you feel they are weak link.

If you're that much worse than the best thing is to drop one barbarian twice and take your penalty of war loot.

Okay- If the WEAK PLAYERS who are in the war DO NOT STAND A CHANCE against to the players you are in the war against, this strategy is useable.

If you are in a clan where everyone is about the same level of experience, knowledge, and skill, then this strategy is not for you.

Let me put it in baby terms:

CLAN WARS!

Good and horrible players VERSUS good players

Use horrible players to discover enemy weakness.

Then send in good players to exploit weakness

Does not work with GOOD PLAYERS vs GOOD PLAYERS

This strategy makes sense . . . if half your clan is th 9 and the other half is th 4. Basically, all you're saying is to not send your weak members to attack bases they can't beat, which is so obvious that I don't even see the need for a thread. However, in the majority of clans (without ridiculous level spreads), the other clan is likely to have weaker members too (remember, your weaker members count in matchmaking) and thus bases for your weaker members to attack. For reference, I am about 55 levels higher than the lowest levels in our clan, and they still had plenty of beatable bases to attack (and they beat some) in our war.

To the OP: Good idea Julez. I would take on CW in a different way if it was 100% up to me but you have your wacky ideas too;):cool:

I would have everyone take out a base that is slightly weaker i.e. TH8s take TH7s or fresh TH8s. (these numbers are considering everyone maxes their Town Hall before moving up)

Then after all the noobier bases are 2-3 starred you will actually have racked up so many stars that you won't even need to destroy their top 10! Of course, if your opponent is powerful they might fight back and match you in star count. This is where the magic comes in. If everyone attacks a base that is slightly weaker, that means they will win (most likely 2+ stars). That also means that everyone should have one or more attack remaining for the big guys. Then you can send in some guinea pigs to check the best players like you suggested Julez. After that, your clans top players will still have quite a few attacks remaining. They can cook up GoWiWi for a 1-3 star or use something like Balloonion for a one star. Thus you will most likely win the war.

At least in my head this works. I have yet to try it out so don't take my word for it;):cool:

To the OP: you'll probably lose clan members with this strategy. Imagine telling your lower members "you can only come to war if you offer yourself as a sacrificial lamb. Oh, and by the way, you won't win any loot either." No fun for them if that's all they get to do.

Aside from this being in the wrong sub-forum, I personally don't agree with the strategy and don't see this being effective in anyway.

This srat was sugggest in the clan chat last night. So glad it was ruled out.

Julez-The weak players would hate this. We all deserve a chance to get loot and attack others our size. Revealing traps and CC troops is not how most people would want to spend their war.

Well, for hard- core clans (Like yours, howie) you don't have that much of a 'spread' in clanmates ability or experience, and so all of your clanmates are about as good as the rest and therefore are equally useful during a clan war. This strategy is more for clans (and I'll say this again) who have good players and then they have horrible players, and they're up against a clan with medium players. The horrible players can't effectively take out the clan they are facing, so they use one (Or both) of their attacks to be 'guinea pigs' for the good players of the clan.

Weak players attack weak base. Strong players attack strong base. That simple!

CW can only attack twice, so make each attack counts.

The system is matching clan vs clan about same strength. No such thing as weak clan vs strong clan.

And if it does, the clan need to make something. Kick inactive or weak members. Problem solved.

This is pretty much my clan's experience of how to win (or rather, how we got smashed in our first war).

If you have a large clan, let the "little folk" go early, and do their best to 2-star the lowest bases. Now everyone else picks a weaker base, and tries to get 3 stars (e.g. mass hogs vs a TH one level lower than yours works a treat). At the end, your best attackers pick off whatever is left, aiming for 2-3 stars (hogs / balloons). With a war of 45vs45, mixed between say TH10-TH7, you can quite safely ignore most if not all the enemy TH10 and still win, just by getting 2-3 stars on all their TH9 and below.
