Lol. Gregsan (used to be #1 worldwide) and many many others have reached champion league with "miniballs"

It was fun reading your post.

I do have some suggestions on your base in the picture.

-Elixir will be more needed once you get to masters, so I would protect it more that the gold.

-Your buildings are currently maxed. Gold will only be used for walls, and searching. Because if this, I would put 3 gold storages on the weakest side of your base, to attract attacks from that side. The hit points will also strengthen that side a bit.

-The ADs, especially this on the top right, and bottom left are exposed. Three balloons, or 2 dragons will easily destroy one. I would move them in once layers. Maybe switch for the storages?

I hope this helps, and I hope you make it to the champions league. :)

Cheers, this was a very useful post! I did move my air defence to replace the gold storages once they were upgraded (only had them at the front when they were being upgraded) - and now they are at the front they are more exposed than the elixir so, the changes you mentioned i already had in mind, but great spot nevertheless!

Yep, balloons rock for pushing. A slow and steady 1 star march. And you do have good videos on your channel.

However, I would recommend players start practicing gowipe/GOWIWI/gowiwipe armies instead. Good for pushing and clan wars! Right now in CW, balloons are really only useful as "clean up troops". You 1 star all the bases at the end of war which are undefeated.

Loons against a a big base are a good way to get the 50 star, but once the #1 - 10 of your opponents are 1 starred and you are close or losing what are you going to do?

To the OP, welcome to the other side of the game. I remember in my first trophy push seeing all of these massive bases with storages outside and realizing that these people weren't playing the same game I was.

Farming is necessary, hunting is fun. Enjoy.
