Is there any strategic benefit to leave loot in the clan castle instead of collecting it? Would it act as a 5th storage and help spread out the loot so that loot taken from each of the other storages will be effectively decreased?

after all SC never said anything about it, so it is safe to assume so.
but you don't have to is the point I'm trying to make. I'm wondering if there's any strategic advantage of leaving it in there for the time between the end of a war and before the next battle day begins.Quote:

Although they haven't given the particulars, cc loot is supposed to be less raidable and therefore safer than in reg storage. Only draw back is limited space or if you leave it out in open.

When you go from TH8 to TH9 you gain a 4th storage and it is strategically beneficial to have 4 storage instead of 3 because you lower the amount of loot lost when each storage is destroyed.
Now I may be gaining a 5th storage, further decreasing the loot lost per storage destroyed.

It says in the FAQ that you can loot it but not by how much. I read somewhere that it was 10 % but think they were talking rubbish.
As my CC is in the middle of my base I am going to leave it in there for the time being. I think using it as a 5th storage is a good idea. (Unless your storages are high enough to reach the cap)
I guess you just need to collect it before the next clan war finishes.
I am hoping to go and raid some CC that have been left outside see what percentages I get.
