Just had our first clan war. I snag more loot in one raid than I do spending 48 hours in a clan war. What's the point? My efforts are better spent elsewhere, as I'm penalized for being involved in the clan war over randomly hitting targets for gold and elixir.
You have to win the war to get the huge loot bonus
No one is forcing you to participate. If ypi don't like them drop your trophies so you won't be in them.
And yes, when your clan wins you can get a lot of loot actually.

I agree..I kept up with it and spent over 500,000 on elixir donating troops, raising my army and took out high level enemy villages. My return was 108,900. Not worth the effort. Half the clan didn't participate and they got the same loot bonus. And i neglected my regular game. Just don't see the point!Quote:

I got 400k of each and 500 due. Took out a couple th8 bases. Plus got 45k of each res and 100-200 DE on each of my war attacks. Add it up and that's quite a bit for just 2 attacks.
Also you probably only got 100k each because your clan lost.

Lol, I love that everyone is assuming we lost. We won like 98 to 61 on stars. My loot bonus was maybe 220,000 gold and elixir. I've raided more than that in a single attack farming, why would I waste 48 hours in a clan war to get less. It's lame.
Now if they wanted to give us bonuses that involved gems or faster upgrades by winning a clan war, maybe I could see the point.....
Actually you can still loot other villages in between your two attacks. I farmed 3mil in resources and collected almost 500k of each gold and elixir loot bonus because of clan war win during war day. I know some believe they must keep their villages in war mode the whole time and do not realize that once war day starts they can return their village back to farm mode. Anyways, I hope you find good looting!
