My experience with the new clan wars, whats yours?

We won 113 - 70 in our first battle. We ended up battling 12 more times than them so they must have been a more inactive clan.

For our first war we just tried some even matches across the board. Our clan has one max TH10 with mid level heroes, myself as a maxed out TH9 with L10-L14 heroes, and the rest TH9-TH5 so it is a veeeeery wide mix. Our first match up was very even and I was happy with the match. Our max TH10 played used GoWiWi on their best two bases as she is the only one who can really take on Inferno towers right now. I got 98% on their third best player (3 seconds away from 100%!!!) and then just waited. Our TH5-8 all then took on even matches for 2-3 star battles.

The second day we took stock of things and our bigger TH8-9 came out and loonioned or mass dragon battled some of their better players. There was a TH7 giving all the mid levels trouble so I took a full loonion army and wiped them off the map even though I felt a bit bad for the overkill. The rest was just people trying to 3 star bases already 2 starred. Good times.

Loooooooots of glitches though, not all sorted out even after both maintenance breaks. I just hope that the glitches get better before they get worse as it was just silly there for a while with some of the stuff that happened.

So, we hit clan war again just a few hours ago... and the match making is terrible this time. Their first 15 bases are all TH9-10 with 7 of those bases have IT. We only have one TH10 with inferno towers and 5 TH9 in total Sure, some of their TH9 are a bit premmie, but we are vastly outgunned on this one and don't really stand a bloody chance!

we sure had a lot of fun. lost d war, coz we r mostly working adults and played only when we r free. got matched up againt a more superior clan with beter walls and defenses against more than half our members. while we use mainly miniballs, our opponens got us with far suprior troops like mass drag and gowiwi. overall, it was fun tho we lost. heck, even before the war started, we knew we r gonna lose! hahaha. we feel that this is an overall excellent update by sc. much thou had been put into this update. we never had so much fun as a clan for ages....everyone made an effort to log on after work to make one or two attcks. we still hv 40 unused attacks by our members.

the after effect of clan war is great. it has shown us, how some farmers, our members, could never let go of farming. a few left the clan after their base got three starred, doesnt want to play the war but continue to farm, are afraid of attacking trophy bases, etc. so, guess this clan war update will allow us to build a stronger clan, a more solid clan instead of one tht is like a pile of loose sands clinging together for more than a year.

I love the clan wars! I just hope they fix the issue of not being able to take a hero into battle if they are being upgraded.

The match making was so good both our clans are tied at 61 stars with 2 attacks to go each lol

LOL pretty exciting, eh?

I raided right before having to leave to work and manged a 3 star out of a former 2 star base so moved us to 81-80 (we were also tied 80-80). Pretty darn close to the position your clan is in. We have several people that couldn't make it for the battles so that is hindering us but it is going to be close nonetheless.

The elements of being able to cheer on clan mates and count stars as points plus being able to watch all the replays almost makes it a fun sports spectator event (minus the beer vendors, darn).

I think SC scored very well with the replay functions to help watch others and enjoy it all as a team.

It is stressful but fun when there is a tie going down between teams late in the war day going back and forth as you watch things unfold.

Our first war has been awesome. We had a few glitches (someone loaded up war base castles with lvl 3 giants, people attacking a base that had been two starred before attacking one that had not been attacked, people not discuss their attacks and hitting the wrong bases, etc), but it has been so great for the clan.

We were in a 40x40 with a Middle Eastern clan. They had 15 th9 and th10 vs. 10 for us. But our bases are more maxed, on average, so it was pretty even.

We were down 16 stars after 16 hours and we came back to tie. We had some crazy near misses by many people and our top guys screwed up. With 2 1/2 hours to go, we tied after some epic attacks.

They tried only 1 more attack. We just needed anyone to show up for a th snipe for the win.

Outside of their very top guy, most of their top members went hard on our middle, with 38 max hogs and five heal spells being common.

i was never attacked on either of my accounts, but I had made the nastiest of nasty trophy bases. I wanted them to try mass hogs or loons or drags, but it never happened.....

We still have one hour left for anyone to show up, but it has been a huge success either way.

We did realize that most of us have been farming so long we forgot how to attack, or just never learned how. That will change. We are closer than ever and were cheering and celebrating and laughing all war long. It was an epic experience and made CoC better.
