"Can't attack! Village has active shield"
If you revenge you should be able to bypass the shield but still let them be shielded from people they haven't raided.
I have a whole list of people who I need to revenge.

I don't like that idea. If a revenge feature was available where shields didn't, then i would be f#%&*d!!!
Yesterday, I attacked approximately 100 people. If revenged bypasses shields, I would be attacked by about 30 of those people within the next 48 hours. Now, I'm currently on 1363 trophies on Town Hall 6. My defence is good, but if one of them wins 1 star I would lose 10 trophies, and if they got 3 stars I would lose 30 trophies.
Yet, when I attack I gain on average, 3 trophies.
About 6 people would get 1 star, and one might get 3 stars. This would take away a good 90 stars.
Sure I would gain a few stars from people failing, but only about 2 stars each. So that remaining 23 people would give me 46 trophies.
Do you really want to spend hours getting 100+ amounts of trophies, only to have them taken back in revenge, due to a no shield affect. Imagine what this would do to people in the top 10 places.
The other sad thing, is that it would allow people to boost up people. Say, someone in rank 1 attacked you and won.
You might think that you want this person to get more trophies. Normally they would have a shield, but you can bypass that and attack them anyway.
I guess what i'm trying to say, is that it would have a negative change in the entire dynamics of this whole strategic world that supercell has created.
There's another game that's exactly like this one, when you're attacked you can revenge.
80% of the CoC players are always on a shield in a legit way or un legit way (supercell don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about it), I'm still unable to find opponents.
Taking revenge seems almost impossible at the moment, cause most people are either online or shielded. To make it more easier for us to find a person to take revenge on:
1. people who u can revenge appear on top of your revenge list.
2. people who u can revenge but that are online or shielded appear below the ones u can revenge right now.
about the idea of breaking the shield:
1. when someone takes revenge on u, he can try to "bypass" the active shield.
2. bypassing the shield requires " a power %". the % of power = % u will succesfully bypass the shield.
3. standard ur power % is 100. after using it will be 0%. U gain 5% of "power" every hour.
4. U gain a additional 10% of "power" for a succesfull revenge (1 star). 20% (2 star). 35% (3 star).
5. If someone bypassed your shield and attacks u: (time of old shield + 4 hours).
Especially if they are part of a clan and they are being given a shield or what not. Sounds like the $?!/ is getting lame. Especially when you're not out there raiding and just playing the game to build your empire. ♥♥♥?! Scandalous peeps out there that prey on the weak. I don't much care to join a clan until I have something to bring to the table, sort of like a relationship. No ones gonna want you if you have nothing.
I think that the revenge bases that have a shield should just be grayed out so you don't have to click on every single one until you find a base to revenge.
