Maxed barb king sleeps for three hours so with a 24 hour war day you should easily be able to make your two attacks with heroes included. Your fault if you do not check your heroes, cc, spells and troops prior to making an attack to make sure everything is in order.

Layout issue is a problem as unless I am online around the time prep day ends I will risk resources if I create a hard core defensive base and have to leave it in the normal game. SC has informed that the issue is known and hopefully they will address it urgently.

Scout freeze is unfortunate and hopefully they will fix it today.

Our clan has been considering making a separate war clan that would then be at war almost all the time, where people could make a hard ore defensive base and be ready to plan&attack.

earlier they have been asking and begging for update ASAP, faster faster!!
and NOW they complain of some bugs which is NORMAL and it would be at least surprising if everything went during first days of update as it was intended by SC.

I guess the hero upgrade timing also comes into the strategy

why? Because while i was sleeping, my regular village was attacked and both my heroes got taken out in normal CoC play. Its not awful you just didn't understand how it worked. Supercell clearly stated war base is just for defending and the usual base is for attacking. Just wait a couple hours and your heros would've been healed. You have 24 to attack.

Rearranging your base for clan wars and regular gameplay takes strategy and timing. You don't have to do it. Many people use the same base. It's supposed to challenge players. it can't be easy for everyone or there would be no competition.

That being said clan wars is awsome!

Always one guy, no matter how great the update/feature is that cries, we want more! Well, If I am raiding for trophies (to win) I don't start a hero upgrade. I plan to farm. Maybe what is frustrating you is lack of organization in your clan?

Not sure, but if my vote counts, I say heroes upgrading, no heroes to attack with. Spell factory upgrading? No spells for you. Plan, also know as strategize.

I bet you are sorry that you did us a favor SC and added clan wars and allowed for us to have use of items to defend our base that normally we would not have. Well, A LOT of people are in your corner. I for one gave you $200 yesterday in gems. My clan probably contributed somewhere in the $1,500 range.
