I am a town hall 8 I mostly just town hall snipe (only use archers) but I am trying to get some big raids to increase my gold as fast as possible. I have all normal barracks troops I am upgrading my Dark Barracks to get valkeries then I will get golems soon after that.
I am needing a good troop set up to attack opponents.

I agree that BAM is great for farming
Yep, BAM is very effective and probably the most efficient farming strategy.
30 Archers, 20 Barbs, 10 WB's and 130 Gobs!! Works every time, especially if you're lazy farming,

I suggest: 6 Wall Breakers, 6 Giants, 40-50 Archers and the rest goblins. I always get all the loot I want.
+60 archers
+60 barbarians
4-12 wall breakers
15-30 minions
attack every 10 minutes.
600k gold per hour min, up to a possible 2m if youre lucky.

I use giants the most 14-15 of them. 2 breakers to get them in. Then rage em. Follow with just all archers. The use 20 gobs when the opportunity for their resources arises.

This is the pekka strat i use :) 31 barbs 31 archs 2 pekkas 12 wb's 16 wizs 2 rage spells 1 lightning spell
Destroy Heroes with archs and barbs
Use lightning spell on cc troops
use the archs and barbs to clear buildings so pekkas dont go around the base
Then break in using wallbreakers
Then DEPLOY PEKKAS & WIZS
RAGE DEM!
And... then....magic happens...
