Being attacked with a shield

Twice now I have been attacked while I have a shield. The first time I thought, maybe I thought I had a shield but really didn't. This time I am sure I had a shield. How is this possible? Also, the attacked was not taking revenge if that makes a difference.

Have you reported this to Supercell? I've heard of this happening to a few people. Not sure if they'll be able to fix it as it seems to be random. Are you sure your shield was up? I know I got attacked once and they destroyed 44% of my base but my shield never went up. Maybe the same thing happened to you.

Yes I am sure the shield was up. I had a 12 hour shield, someone came in and attacked me and won a few trophies and I didn't even get a new shield.

This is not a bug, but a misperception about the shield duration and cool down periods.

Available shields include 1 day, 2 day and one week. THe cool down period for each varies. For example, a one day shield has a 5 day cool down. Some people have confused the duration of the shield with the cool down period, as is likely the case here.

I think he said he had a 12 hour shield, I doubt he bought one and legitimately got attacked while having a 12 hour shield (previous 40% attack maybe)

What steve is saying that, the TS's shield already ran out.

The number and time seen on his "Shield" box is the "cool down time" before he can buy another shield, which steve thinks is the case.

Then again, I didn't buy any shield before, and I'm pretty sure the "cooldown time"'s colour and "shield time" colour is different.

Sounds to me that OP had a shield from a previous attack and got attacked while said shield was supposingly still up.

Easiest would have been to post a screenshot with still active shield and open revenge window showing latest attacks... however it's too late for that now.
