Twice now I have been attacked while I have a shield. The first time I thought, maybe I thought I had a shield but really didn't. This time I am sure I had a shield. How is this possible? Also, the attacked was not taking revenge if that makes a difference.
Have you reported this to Supercell? I've heard of this happening to a few people. Not sure if they'll be able to fix it as it seems to be random. Are you sure your shield was up? I know I got attacked once and they destroyed 44% of my base but my shield never went up. Maybe the same thing happened to you.
Yes I am sure the shield was up. I had a 12 hour shield, someone came in and attacked me and won a few trophies and I didn't even get a new shield.

This is not a bug, but a misperception about the shield duration and cool down periods.
Available shields include 1 day, 2 day and one week. THe cool down period for each varies. For example, a one day shield has a 5 day cool down. Some people have confused the duration of the shield with the cool down period, as is likely the case here.

I think he said he had a 12 hour shield, I doubt he bought one and legitimately got attacked while having a 12 hour shield (previous 40% attack maybe)Quote:

Then again, I didn't buy any shield before, and I'm pretty sure the "cooldown time"'s colour and "shield time" colour is different.
Sounds to me that OP had a shield from a previous attack and got attacked while said shield was supposingly still up.
