how are the winners in the whole clan war determined? We are matched up with a clan where probably half our enemy bases are still in farming mode with their castles outside their walls for easy pickings. Is it better for me to take out a higher level camp and get an easy 1-star or maybe a 2 star, or to take on a lower level enemy that I know I could easily 3 star?

Go for the most stars first but if its a super easy 3 star give it to your worst players so strong players can focus on 1-2 starring the really tough ones.

Makes perfect sense, my only issue is although the clan organization is what matters, i know many of our members suck at attacking. No control or methodology. Just a lot of spray and pray as it would seems. So not to out right tell they are basically pulling sacraficial lamb duty, just suggest they scout out for the team and use one of their attacks to produce us a good replay or scouting report.Quote:

Attack with your weakest players first on weakest bases and judge the results, moving up as you go IMO.
If you have a specialist type good at a certain method let them handle the tougher base matching that method (e.g. a TH 9 being able to 50% a max TH 10 with Loonions, etc).
I for one really don't want to participate until things get cleared up better but the clan already went into war mode and of course I got assigned (joy).:(
attack a base equivalent to your strenght. wether it's 1 or 3 stars. that should help make sure that the whole clan spread is even.
even spread of stars = likely the way to get the highest stars
