Has clan wars reduced the potential for town hall sniping?

I don't know if it is just me but would be interested to know what other players are finding?

I have a weak TH5 base and recently sniped my way up into crystal lges for the gem bonus to help me on my way to the fourth builders hut. That was a week before the update and i had absolutely no problem finding bases with TH outside the walls for the easy snipe, probably 1 base like that in every 10-20 nexts. Anyway i didn't play much over the last week and so i dropped back down into gold 2 on defensive losses, went back on today thinking i would get back up into crystal lges and then think about trying to snipe my way too master lges for gem bonus.

there seem to be very few bases now with exposed TH i did find a few but only after a lot of searching and hitting the next button!

My only explanation is that with clan wars and the excitement of going to war as a clan many players who would previously have left TH exposed are now building defensive bases with TH protected to prevent giving the enemy clan easy victories!

is anyone else experiencing anything similar?

more people are going to use hybrid bases, that is for sure.

Yes. Upside is I've been running into war bases lol with gold lix tanks on outside layers ahha 👍👍👍I love it since yesterday been happening a lot lol

yeah, gone are days when a bunch of archers could lead you to crystal league. forget about easy THs, world war has begun, chief!!

Well there have been plenty of threads on the forums complaining about loot from raids being very poor and 1 factor that is involved in this is the cheap shielding strategies that farmers employ so that they're bases with full storages are safely tucked away behind a shield!

maybe clan wars will go some way to redressing this imbalance although i rather suspect not, once the initial excitement of clan wars dies down i think most farmers will go back to leaving they're town hall exposed but enjoy yourself while the loot is there

Clan wars = less farmers, more defensive bases.And less th outside.

I noticed too! I'm pushing to crystal 2 to get dark elixir to upgrade my barb king and hogs, but are rarely finding bases in gold2

I really don't think it should be sniping, as sniping sounds like it takes skill. Looking for free town halls is a better term, no offense.
