I came up with a sneaky strat for Clan Wars defense. Leave your TH on the outside. However, load it with traps and Teslas. An attacker will see your base as if you "forgot" to prep it for war and will assume an easy kill. This will cause them to drop their initial troops and then they will scramble to try to recover after they realize they keep losing each bit they put down. Eventually it will cost them too much just to take down the TH that they will not have much left over for the rest of the base. What they figured should only cost 3 archers, now cost half of their army.
The genius about this play is how it effects the entire war. It is obviously a guaranteed 1 star victory. That is part of the strat. The other attackers will see that it still has 2 stars left to capture. Thus, it creates an attack trap. The next attacker will think it's an idiot's base as well and assume the last attacker just did a bad job. So, of course, the new attacker begins with free TH kill and the cycle starts again. Keep in mind, that each attacker only gets 2 opportunities during each war. The more attacks a base absorbs, the fewer opportunities the opposing clan has to use on other bases.
I imagine I would pull in at least 5 attackers before I get overpowered. We have a 20v20 going. This would effectively negate 4 attacks out of their possible 40.
Thoughts?
