Do we attack with war troops or regular CC in war?

Sorry couldn't find exact answer :$

I know that donated war troops are specifically used for defending and get auto replenished after each defence but what about for attacking?

Clan castle troops I mean sorry.

For attacking, your Castle troops in normal village will be used. If your hero is upgrading, for attack ONLY in war map, it will be available too.

Ok hope you are right.

But a bit misleading on the hero thing...

If you are upgrading your AQ or BK and enter the war phase of a clan war, they will be available to you for both attack and defense at the level they are being upgraded FROM. If your AQ/BK are new but haven't completed being built (that sounds weird), they will be available at level 1.

I can't use any spell in war since my spell factory is upgrading in normal maps. Too bad my first war without any spell help :(.

By the way on the side note, my xbow (just bought that, will be finish in 4 days) in war maps is functional but only set to ground.
