Best Army Comp Going Against Th9s

I'm below average in my clan, I'm an almost maxed th8 with all of my elixer upgrades done. Dark elixer upgrades are coming along, lv 3 minions and lv 3 hogs. Need help going against these xbows! Should i go for three stars, or barch a one star? Also I'm not a giant/healer type of guy, all the strats above I'm good at. Spells are guess-able. Lv 5 barb king and my cc will be filled with lv5-6 minions and lv5-6 wiz.

Tweak your hogs army... 20+ hogs, 4 giants, some wizards, archers and barbs. Minions just slow down your build, and run the risk of hitting air bombs - best to stick with all ground.

For farming, just set your dark barracks cooking hogs, 2 regular barracks making wizards, then the other two make 2 giants each and barbs and archers. Your spell factory has nothing but heal spells. Super simple. Depending on the strength of the TH9, and how many heal spells you want to use (ideally, 1-2), you should get 1-3 stars and most or all of the good loot. If you find collectors, you have enough simple troops (save the hogs and wizards) to farm that and take a loss, while brewing an even stronger army for the next raid.

For trophy hunting, just increase the number of hogs by not brewing so many barbs and archers, and/or just use all your spells on the raid!

The giants help luring hard to reach clan castle, heroes, and also distracting defences while the hogs go in.

The barbs and archers kill heroes and CC troops, as well as clean up at the end with the wizards and your King. Barbs and/or giants also get big bombs outside the walls before your hogs do. Keep your king alive, as much as possible, i.e. only deploy him in an area the hogs have already visited.

My second account has a similar setup as yours - level 3 hogs, level 5 giants, barbs n archers. I can't necessarily beat a great TH9 (especially an anti-hog layout), but can 2-3 star plenty of medium-range ones, and that's without using all my spells.

This is for clan wars so I hope to go for 3 stars! The minions are for luring the king out and taking him out w/o using 20+ troops!
