Why #4 in my clan is spectator?

Notice it strange when he have Silver instead orange like the rest of us. He said only a spectator for this war. And we on 45vs45. Why is he a spectator? Isn't the one have lowest trophies out of war? He #4. Not last 5 lowest....

And btw. He join the clan b4 update.

Good question. I have no idea how that works. Try visiting the Clan Wars FAQ thread.

If he joined before the update, then it must be a glitch in the matchmaking that he wouldnt be a part of the Clan Wars. SC should fix all of the CW bugs before the next CW begins! Good luck to your clan!

Why are only 4 of our members eligible for clan wars?

This might not apply to your current situation, but trophies isn't taken into account when deciding who spectates. The weakest members are calculated by the overall power of their bases including the level of the th, walls, defenses, and troops.

I'm having a similar problem where the orange swords marker only come up for 50% of my clan but it's 45 on 45 and we have 45 members. They don't even have a silver sword marker it's just blank. We can't donate to them on preparation day either

Check your opponent's clan. Do they also have missing stars?

Maybe he is the newest member to the clan? Or least amount donated and received?

Both clans will always have the same number of war bases in a clan war. Clan wars matchmaking will only match clans of similar sizes, and a few members (between 1-4 per clan) may be put into spectator mode when the clans are matched to even out team sizes. The members in spectator mode will be those with the lowest trophy count in their clan (or those who are ineligible for war).
