Pushing trophies is ridiculous

I am pretty much maxed and have maxed heroes and very rarely attack but currently sit just over 3,500 largely on defence. I got fed up buying gems to boost my heroes and everything else so I could attack every 45 mins. It is also very antisocial playing champ because you have to keep checking the ipad to make sure it doesn't log off! (I dont use any special software).

with the 35 slot cc i suspect the right base could defend to say 3,600.

I find that most players over say 3,700 beat my base but i only lose a few cups. Most players say from 3400 down seem to get caught out and lose so i gain about 20 cups from each of them. My def win / loss ratio is about 50/50 but I noticed it dip down once i moved up from 3500.

There are others in my clan with around lvl 20 heroes and lvl 9 walls and max or max minus 1 def and they win def at 2900-3100 so defending to champ is feasible but tougher with lower def.
