Pushing trophies is ridiculous

I'm around 3k trophies, im currently going for 50% on villages so i get around 7 trophies per win. As soon as i log out someone attacks me with his gemmed level 40 heroes and gemmed 5 spells (even if youre a horrible noob player who just started the game you can 1 star any village with lvl 40 heroes and 5 spells). So you make turtle steps to the top, not only that but if you lose a battle you lose a progress you took hours to make. Pushing trophies is either for someone with no life whi plays 4 hours non stop or someone who spends enough money to stop the starvation in the world in this game. Too bad I took so long to push and see that

As in anything you do if you want to be one of the best you have to put in more time, effort and possible money.

Sorry you're just figuring this out. I made it to 2500 before I figured it out.

Trophies might be the dumbest part of this game. They are essentially pointless. There is no reason to push trophies at all, it's actually better to stay around 1650-1800 to get more resources with easier bases. Not to mention you can make cheaper troops and wreck bases in that range.

I always go back and forth between this game being fairly pointless due to the end game being pointless. I don't know how they could fix it, maybe clan wars will make end game more fun, but right now trophies are just useless.

It felt so weird intentionally dropping from around 2480 to 1700 considering how much time I had spent pushing that high. But unless you do it you can't effectively farm.

edit: I know people will say 2500 isn't end game, but the same problem applies to 4000 as it does 2500, trophies still mean absolutely notta.

I have put 1 year and a half of effort in this game. Im sorry but your sentence is wrong, in Coc u just need to put money. And i dont even want to be close to the best, i just want my 2k gems from champs.

Its just sad to see someone with 50m GG and 200k HH with maxed heroes and walls when i got much more than that and im not even close

The jump to Champ is the hardest in the game. You're getting matched up with Champs above 3k so you need to stay online, boost some barracks and push until you get there. You can't win on defence up there it's all offence now so you have to play long sessions to make more than you lose or pray some really high champ attacks you for small cup losses... good luck!

Just attacked for 9 trophies and when i came back i had -16 trophies

And that is why I am in a farming clan.

Did once push to just over 2,800; and honestly wondered why I bothered. You are pretty much forced to stay online between raids, play far more than what is healthy; or spend a lot of gems.

There is nothing healthy about trophy pushing.

That is the main point, nice post

I'm a TH9 and just finished a push... I gave up at 2925 as it is mind numbingly boring! I don't buy gems and I don't play CoC for 6 hours a day or more like most... this means that I would only really gain 20-30 trophies per day IF I WAS LUCKY on my losses.

I don't know how people have the attention/patience to do this push really and stay up there. CoC past 2600 trophies holds no enjoyment for me whatsoever.

I used to farm at this level all the time, but then I learned on a recent clan push that the sweet spot to farm is 2500-2600 at masters one with balloon. That is if your goal is to get dark elixir and you do albeit boring balloonian. If you have maxed out d and lvl 9 walls you pretty much get to keep all your loot if you leave your th out. the 75/75/400 bonus plus the 1500 de loot per attack nets me 30k+dark elixir everyday.
