Slight confusion about CW, mods please answer

When your upgrading heroes they can defend your village, but can you attack with them too whilst they're upgrading in CW.

Theres a slight confusion in my clan. Some say they can only defend and some are saying both.

Apparently you cannot use your AQ/BK on attack while sleeping, and they are technically "sleeping" while they are upgrading. They will still be available on defense however.

Just to clear this up, he means for attacking. My archer queen is upgrading from level 14 to level 15 now, are you saying I can use my level 14 queen to attack in clan wars?

I don't think he read it right. Your heroes will be available on defence as will all your buildings. On attack it's as normal so if you have upgrading heroes they won't be available.

So this is confirmed, for attacking AND defending?
