Install Cyanogenmod 11 on it. I got it on my Kindle. If you don't know how, do some research.

http://clashofclanskindlefire.com download the alternative file from this link via silk on your kindle and let it update your existing clash game. Run the game and it should update.

Hi guys,
If you have a 1st generation Kindle Fire, you will not be able to run Clash of Clans until you update your version of Android to version 4.0.3. As Amazon does not have any default option for doing so, you must first root your device then upgrade it by yourself.
If you have a 2nd generation Kindle Fire, a Kindle Fire HD or any later models, you can sideload the app without any rooting. Just follow these steps.
1. Find "Settings." I know you can scroll down from the top and click the plus button to access settings on the 2nd generation model, not sure on others.
2. Click on "Device".
3. Turn on " Allow Installation of Applications (from unknown sources".
4. Download the current Clash of Clans apk. I have a dropbox link, but I am waiting for a mod's approval as this can be a touchy subject in regards to one of the rules.

If you want to sideload Google Play, you will have to root your Kindle as the Amazon software has been modified to block Google Play services. Note that it is not my responsibility of you brick your Kindle.

No problems for my wife's kindle fire hd ...
I rooted her device and downloaded the play store play services and a few other things to her kindle.
every update that has come out has loaded perfectly from the google play store..
only thing i can think of is where u guys are getting your method for rooting
