1/ Once again, fantastic job. You managed to keep the game fresh with is great update.
2/ Would like to revisit the "spying" issue: if the other clan is "open to everyone" it is possible to quit your clan, join their clan, take screen shots of every war castle with locations of traps and note down what is in their war cc, then quit, rejoin your original team and... still fight your 2 war battles. IMO should not be possible to do this...
3/ Would like to see a "proceed" feature to end phase 1 (preparation) and optionally phase 2 (war) if both teams agree. I think in a lot of teams the top players stuff the war cc aftr war declaration and then everyone is basically idling for almost a day.

What do you think about an option to send the Clan War Enemy little Massages, before and between matches.
And maybe little Texts to your opponent who attacked you or who you attack.
Something like.: "whoha, i beat you."
Or: "ouch, your Base was to strong for me"
Or of course: " damn i hate your lvl 3 Disco infernos" :)
I think this could be a funny and nice add on for the Brilliant Clan war matches.
With this feature, you could get more interaktive with your opponent.
hm, than DE gets nerf double because of a loose. like i said on my last loose the result screen showed 130 DE remaining from previous 650DE an the clan castle received 100 DE only.
and on a win it got "rounded" from 295 to 0. but hopefully this is fixed by now, and there is no rounding in place for a win.
Matchmarking is BAAAAADDDDdddd .... improve it or many clans will stop going to war.
What is the idea of Matchmarking .. how do you get the mark for each village ? Could you explain it or are you afraid of critics ?
- Is the marking done with the total gold/elixir looted in the life of the village ..? Would means... players that were the most "efficient" in the design, and expense of their gains are now the best for war (low mark but efficient defenses/attack)
- Or are you using the actual "state" of the village ? Number of walls and their level, Nbr defenses and their levels... etc ?
Agree, our clan is a mix of mostly mid level th10's and we were paired with top 30 clan. Most had max base defenses, lvl 40 heros and some were completely maxed - walls and all.
Please give less weight to player levels and give more weight to hero levels! I am guessing some of the mismatch is coming about because high end cup players do not max certain troops like goblins and healers. Also, I think the players highest cup level achieved should be factored in.
Love the new clan wars. It would be great if you made the donations count. The troops donated for war has to be counted and shown in clan member list
- Give numbers to each base on the war map (especially if the other member names' characters are non latin) additionally, if a clan member wants to atack "X" you don't have to look in the entire war map for this opponent.
- We need a new interface with all summerized stats of your clan members, basically similar to the information you see in the war map, but much easier to browse. If you have wars 45 vs 45 it takes simply too long browsing the war map.

Well the clan matching is going to well for us our last war they had 21 th 10s to our 11, how this is fair i do not no.
Since this upgrade came live, you can no longer see what troops are in the clan castle, but you also can't see the level of some troops whose appearance is the same between levels.
So if you are recruiting you might see someone of a specific TH level expect him to have the max level for the troops for the current TH and get a surprise either if you invited them or accepted them.
This is the case for clans like mine that look for people with troops lvl 4+ and where troops lvl 3 look just alike. So we have accepted people with TH7 that have lvl 3 troops and for that we have set ultimatums to update troops or have simply kicked them.
Just an idea to solve this, since wars are dependent on clans, and u only can recruit clanless people, let camps of clanless people visible.
A couple of suggestions that I haven't seen below:
1) war donations should count toward donation total
2) the cool down for clan send mail should be shorter during wars so leader can coordinate attacking strategy (one hour?)

I have seen it twice now, replays of raids where the attacker only reaches 25-30% and gets really close to but clearly doesn't destroy the TH and gets a win for the raid. In both cases the attacker gains 20+ trophies. Is there something I don't know about winning raids? Or does this need a fix? Thanks guys. Feedback will be appreciated.

Having a great time with clan wars, but several members are not receiving any Dark Elixir Bonus even though we are the winning clan and the members specifically targeted bases that had a dark elixir bonus. I saw the post about the rounding down, but that was 5-6 days ago. Any update?
Easter weekend coming up - and with no "Eligible for wars?" on/off toggle button for our members we have no choice but to temporarily kick the people who have remembered to tell us they will be away - cmon Supercell this is a trivial thing to sort out.
The amount of drama being created in clans from people wanting to farm, not happy warring without their heroes, wanting to have a "real life" for a night and not be required to play the game on a specific war day etc... all so easily avoidable. In some cases clans are splitting into war clans, people are being forced to leave etc - for the sake of something that is supposed to be a bit of fun for the other members who want to play it...
Maybe this has been mentioned before.
it would be nice to have the option to play or not play clan wars, or co-leaders picking there group for war.
right now we have had some small issues where members got in a fight because some strong bases have there town hall outside and dont play there games, this will get bigger when some of them lose interest/vacations/etc etc.
Level 1 and level 2 tier 1 troops look alike, so is the case with lvl 3 and lvl 4. The same applies to giants, wallbreakers, wizards, healers, etc.
surely as an almost maxed TH9, you no longer have this problem since troops lvl 5 and lvl 6 are different. If this is the way SC intended us to notice the level of troops then we newer clans have a long way to go
It seems to be a common theme. Our clan had similar problems...random goblins were donated and people were kicked out. As a leader, I must stand behind my decision to kick out a member that plays this game once a week. What can I do, he's strong enough to automatically participate in the war...but I want to actually WIN the war, so I have no choice but to kick him.
It baffles my mind how could SC not have added two very simple functions - saving at least one layout and accept/decline function for every member. The ability to empty your castle on prep day as well.
We are currently in a war and after the break, all replays are missing.
What happened to them?
Wish there could be a way that supercell can limit the higher townhalls from attacking two townhalls lower than them in clan wars. This has become very annoying. We could do the same thing but we let all our people participate in the war because we want them to enjoy the game as much as the rest of us. We lost our last war due to their Th10 and TH9 attacking our TH5 and TH6 guys.

Its annoying when another clan declares war against you when your clan was just in a war
It's really good i love the concept. For the starting find it good.
But in the future i would really love to see the leaders having more control like a switch that can disable clan wars. So Co- leaders can constantly keep declaring war.
Also if the above is not possible then a cool down period maybe 1-3 days. I understand its just new but if these were taken into consideration that would be cool.

Well.. We just waited 22 hours to declare war, so that we could start war cycle at 20:00, where most players are on..
..at 23:40 we finally got matched with another clan :-/
A bit frustrating that it takes so long, so we can't make a set time for starting war in the clan.. Now next time we got to pass most of a day again to make the time fit :-/
I know its been said, but I just want to bump it. Please please fix match making methods, 3rd war in a row and every one we have been the underdog by a large margin when it comes to defenses and in the most recent one we were severely overpowered by maxd troops, while a large majority of our clan only has lvl 5 troops.
Although surrendering sucks, it would be nice to have the ability to surrender a clan war and be able to start a new one instead of waiting hours. This should be setup so only the leader can do this.

I posted earlier about how the game lags really bad when not in a war. We have done 3 wars now. After the first war I had no issue, no lag at all. The problem showed up after our second war finished. The game is lagging so bad right now, almost 3 seconds of real time goes by compared to 1 second of game time. For example while watching my troops train, it is taking like 3 times longer than it should to build troops. I wouldn't even call this lag, it's almost like the game is running in slow motion. Again this only happens when my clan isn't in a war. When we start a war, the lag clears up. Is anyone else having this issue?
Okay clan wars is great, but we definitely need a few tweaks to be made.. My biggest pet peeve is that I can't switch my infernos from single to multishot in the war zone if they're upgrading on my base. Same goes with xbows, so you're pretty much locked in with whatever you have if the darn thing is upgrading.. Also just got level 4 archers donated into my clan wars CC, need to get it dumped!
I think clans that go on a winning streak should have something special added to their clan description area. Maybe a little flaming number somewhere that increases as the winning streak continues.
Based on OP update, Heroes and Spells won't be available for offense while upgrading....this is a sad day.

My request is to have bigger loot. Make it worth all the expenditure, please.
Best thing ever! The only problem, isnt really a problem but it would make the game much easier, be able to switch back in forth from war bases and your normal base with the click of a button! Obviously this isn't an original idea...
It would be great if we can have the option of choosing the players who will fight the clan war before the matching process.
we have some players farming and others who are temporary inactive as in many others clans. We are kicking them out and sending the invitation immediately to re-join the clan.
i think that having the option of choosing the fighters would solve and this issue and it would be great too.

Now that we have clan wars how about making loot steady now and making sure we don't have to hit the next button 80 times to find a decent raid.

Please keep in mind that some of these requested features should have a toggle on/off.
- If you "claim" an enemy opponent, you should also be able to "unclaim" them if you change your mind. Optionally (possibly better) the leader or co-leader could remove claims made by others on request or for better matchups.
- If you opt out of clan wars, you should be able to opt in later. (for the next war obviously)
- Saving a war base should have an option to overwrite the currently saved war base with the current clash base, and vice-versa.

Thanks for the awesome update!! Just one thing though. Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I'd prefer if on war day, the primary button to click on was still 'Scout' instead of 'Attack' ('Attack' being enlarged and higher on the screen). I play on my iphone so I'm always wary of my fat fingers slipping up (probably not a problem for people playing on a tablet). I for one always click 'Attack' from the scouting screen anyways to make sure the base is the one I want to attack/check if they changed their day base on preparation day before I last checked.
For the last 3 Wars CW has been boring for my clan because it's like shooting dead fish in an empty barrel. Just now we got the opposite effect. We were matched with a clan so much past us that we aren't even going to attack.
It would be fantastic if one of the new updates put a notification in the clan chat as to who started the war. This would be of great help to clans that might have one rouge co-leader that starts the wars when instructed not to. There has been a lot of discussion on this as well as many people believe there is a bug that automatically enters the clan into war.
The elixir earned from just the battle needs way upped I'm not upgrading anything with elixir have not spent any and I find myself broke and can't afford more spells. Really annoying.
Hey I think there should be an option for clan leaders to choose who is included in a clan war, clans are splitting up because of clan wars. not everyone wants to war and they are being kicked out because of it.
I noticed when I donate dragons in war clan castles for defense it is not counted towards "friend in need" accomplishment. If I am correct I think this should be fixed.
Best update in a long time super cell. The depth of clan wars has improved our clan members involvement and we have become alive again.
All bugs/changes/improvements requested are already addressed in this thread, but frankly speaking it's not annoying at this stage due to the amazing feature clan wars add. Clan wars is a game changer!
Maybe add a clan wars league would be nice.

I am in a small clan of 10. We have lost all three wars we have been in. In each war, we were so outmatched it was sad. We don't see the point of going to war now. All the prep and base layout changes that we can't save make the game frustrating when we get matched up against clans with 5 members with lvl 40 heroes, TH10, and all black walls. We only have 3 lvl 10TH, and heroes in the 10-15 range. Our upgraded troops are not maxed out yet, but our opponents all seem to be. How is it we are never stronger than our opposition? We can't be the weakest clan on the planet!
Our clan has people from TH9 to TH6. Our clanmembers rank from level 95 to level 30.
All five clans we have faced so far, have been of a similar structure, although three of them also had two or three premmie TH10.
We are very content with the matchaking so far. We have good clan cmmunication and are about to win our third war, while the two wars we lost were pretty close.
After being on this forum often, I believed that we are a strange can with our mixture of TH levels, most clans that advertise here in the clan talk subforum seem to have strict limits and are made up of people of similar levels.
It's very relaxing to see, that there seem to be a lot of clans out there that are also a mixture of players with different levels.
I really love watching the attacks of some of our TH6 players (with level 3 giants and healers) against other TH6 players in a clan war and then do a hog attack on a TH9 in the same war.

I was a virtual inactive th10 maxed except walks... Because of stinking loot availability. However this little gem of an update changed that! :-)
Aside from the fixes being disscussed and looked at to two biggest things for me are.....
loot 3 wars - 5mill E spent on donations and troop + 300k E not quite balanced I think.
match making rubbish totally out gunned every war so far :-(
keep ep up the good work but look at loot levels and match making please.
hopefully this will be a way for me to earn the 500mill gold i still need for walls quicker than the next two years.

When starting a war, i believe clan members should be able to indicate if they want to participate or not. Kicking people out of the clan to exclude them from war just because they aren't online all the time and who have actual other important stuff to do besides clashing (casual players) is not the way it should be in my opinion. Maybe make it so that members who are of ranking elder or higher participate in wars. That way, an existing mechanism could be reused somehow. This could even work the other way around, i.e. War was delcared on the clan and not the clan declaring the war. Demoting people because they aren't online as frequent als others is much more user friendly. Just a suggestion..
We had to kick some casual players in our clan even though they were good players and donators just for the sake of wanting 'all-active-only' members when going to war. I for one, being co-leader, dislike kicking as we want new members joining and been doing so earnestly before CWs. We simply don't have an alternative.
Simple solution.. Create new title "wariors"
Ranking wariors right bellow your elders and making wariors minimum rank to account for war.. So when war button is pushed, wariors, elders, co-leaders and leader partisipate.. But normal members with no rank don't..
This would be easy way to do it.
I would like better though if each player should actively click a "i'm ready for war" button...
Then once leader or co-leader see that enough members are ready, he can hit the war button and clan is entered with all readied players.
After factoring in the cost of creating a top tier army and donating top tier troops to war castles I am losing vast amounts of resources going to war. The reward for winning a war needs to be greatly improved.
Quick question! Who can start clan wars? is it Leader, Co's and elder? or just leader and Co?
I would like to be able to advancively search for clans.
Our clan ranges from TH6-9, & won its first 4 wars against well-matched opponents (mostly with at least one TH10).
War #5 was a mismatch on every level. Our opponents have more heroes, higher level heroes, higher level THs, higher level troops, better walls, more xbows... They are superior in every respect, as far as I can tell. (Details below)
We knew at first glance we were doomed, so haven't stocked our castles or attacked except for practice!
The one thing we had that they didn't was a CW victory.
Which prompts me to ask, is CW victories a factor in matchmaking? Or did we just get unlucky? I assume there is a permitted margin of difference in relative clan strengths, & on rare occasions matchmaking pits 2 clans at the extreme ends of the spectrum, resulting in a mismatch.
And this is why I'm bothering to write this. CW is genius. But it's tedious for everyone (even the stronger clan) to wait out 2 days of a mismatch. So, SC, please consider tightening the matchmaking parameters - we would all rather wait a few hours longer for a closer matched clan.
Incidentally, the game itself seemed to recognise the mismatch -I'm ranked our #1 in CW, but my recommended target was their #6. Our leader is #8, his rec target was #18.

My opinion/ideas...
The matchmaking - need to be further specify, I can understand this will take much longer in searching... but assume that you have codes running at all time so that each clan would have a possible match before clan war rather than after clicking "Start War" button, this will speed things up a lot faster.
King and Queen - They both cannot be use during war if they are being upgrade, they can still defend but can't be use for attack. Is there something you can do for us so that we can use them for attacking during war only?
War Log - I know it is hard to keep the replay, that's fine. But is it possible to keep the full detail of war log rather than just how many stars we got? It will help us keep track with each clan member progress. I know we can take a screen shot for that with our device, however, that's not the case here.
Feeds - Sometimes a lot of players are unable to join the clan war during the day as they maybe at work. It would be nice if we can get feeds to our device, so we know who is winning?
MVP reward - Give extra reward to the best attacker or defender in clan war. For example, attack recommended target or higher and score all 6 stars, and most defend-able base... that way... add more fun for us while we do our best. If you even play the game worms, you will know what I mean.
That's all from me.
After the war, it would be great if the clan war results shows who did not attack in the war, or if they only attacked once. Good way to summarise whose letting the clan down in terms of inactivity.
I like all the ideas above. My only other suggestions would be:
1. Allow clans to forfeit. In order to not penalize the winning clan, either allow the winning clan to either keep going in the war for their loot bonus, or give the median loot bonus for all unused attacks that the winning clan has. This way, the losing clan doesn't have to just sit there and wait for the timer to run out. We got put into a clan war this weekend where the enemy clan was far superior to ours (we have 4 inferno towers and our best player has lvl 10 heroes, while they had 20 inferno towers and their top player had maxed heroes). They ended up getting at least two stars on all but 3 of our bases and we couldn't get more than one star on any of their top 10 (and before this we were 4-0 in CW, so don't be like "you guys must suck at attacking"). For the last 8 hours of the war, we were just sitting there waiting for the war to end. It would have been nice to go ahead and start another war since we continuing in the current war would have just been a waste of resources.
2. Allow clan leaders to signal their clan is prepared for war. I already feel as though prep day is too long. A lot of people who participate in CW have set up their base for CW and most others have done so with the possible ability to move the TH in and out. It would be nice if leaders could hit a button to say everyone is ready for CW and A) that's when the "snapshot" would be taken and B) if both clans signal they are ready, the war begins at that point.
Overall, I think clan wars is running pretty smoothly. I wouldn't mind seeing them narrow the matchmaking possibilities to provide more even matches, and obviously there are a few improvements that can be made, but overall, Supercell did a pretty solid job with clan wars from the outset.
Edit: one other idea for the forfeiting of a clan war: Allow the forfeiting clan to concede and select a base that the opposing clan will get the loot bonus from for all unused attacks (i.e. a base with an exposed TH that the winning clan could repeatedly take out once the war is effectively won), and give the leaders of the winning clan the option to accept the forfeit, adding that loot bonus for all unused attacks to the loot bonus that each player already has built up. (meaning if someone has used both attacks, their loot bonus wouldn't be adjusted, but if someone hasn't attacked, they would get double the loot bonus of the selected base as their war loot once the forfeit is accepted)

First battle this war:
I set hog down to run in and trigger clan castle. It for some reason pauses on a big bomb out in a wide open space out in a grass area and dies. Thus ruining the whole raid. You see it clear as day pause.
Second battle this war:
Sent a lvl 6 Giant in to trigger clan castle. Nope, it to just sits there pounding on it's target and dies. Thus once again ruining the whole attack.
Yes, I clearly check ALL areas in range long before attacking. So no clue why these things happen. But yeah, the replay is right there for all to see.
Just added to the list of issues and problems with this low level app game.....
Golden Sky was just paired with an invisible clan.
We can't attack them but they can attack us. Their entire war map side is blank for both of us. We can't see them and they can't see themselves either, but they can see us.
We had an interesting thing in our 4th clan war match up.
The #2 in the opposition clan was a VERY good TH9.
It showed as a TH9 on the war map.
Then, on preparation day, he got TH10 (it finished or he gemmed it, we have no way to tell) and started two inferno towers. So when preparation day ended we were facing what was in effect a max TH9, with infernos.
We left him alone, there was no point going there, and we won comfortably anyway.
I just thought it was an interesting way to make the most benefit out of match making if you have TH10 coming.

Really need an option to an able to dump war cc troops this is UPS 2nd war now that will be over shadowed by having weak defence troops in the cc.
A lot of our members are already a bit tired of clan wars because it doesn't serve any purpose other than itself, knowing there's a lot of pressure now from leaders to fight their battles within 24h time frame and those leaders themselves have to produce costly dragons etc. to fill the war cc. All this hassle for 1 little statistic (wars won). It would be helpful to have clan war rankings, badges, ... to spice clan wars up a bit or I predict it will get stale real soon.
There are problems with people just sniping high level town halls to get 1 star and the loot... which eventually may cause the whole clan to lose the war.
If there were tiered war bonuses by stars, this would mitigate the problem. For example:
a high-level opponent: 1 star = 100K, 2 stars = 200K, 3 stars = 500K
a low-level opponent: 1 star = 50K, 2 stars = 100K, 3 stars = 250K
Problem is...someone worth 500k is nearly impossible to 3 star and noone would do Clan Wars(well most) if cooking 2 2 hour armies with 4 hours worth of spells and 3 hours of hero regen only got them 400k after using both attacks. I'd do it for a million....not 400k.
A couple new glitches:
1. When you go to view the other clan it is showing they have 0/50 members and no bases. (their bases are showing on the war map however)
2. A few of our war CC have incorrect troop housing space. For example 2 wizards in a 25 space camp and it is showing full at 25/25.
Please look into this.
I haven't taken the time to go through the 100+ pages of the thread, so I apologize in advance if some of these matters have been brought up already:
1- A clan that is not actively declaring war can be chosen as some other clan's opponent. This needs to be fixed, since it messes up with clan schedules for preparation (gathering elixir for new troops), rearrangements (i.e. warning/expelling inactive players during previous wars, or those with faulty base designs), and in some cases like mine, we try to declare wars around a specific time of the day, since we have members on both sides of the Atlantic and adjusting to both time frames is paramount.
2- Defensive buildings that haven't been completed yet (note the difference with upgrades) appear active as level 1 buildings. This should not be allowed, specially since it falls in line with my next point and can be pretty much used as an exploit.
3- Any changes made to the bases (starting and/or finishing buildings/upgrades) during the preparation day are recorded for the day of attack/defense. Now this is a huge problem, because people can pretty much amass huge amounts of gold, and say, wait until the matchmaking has taken place, and then proceed to upgrade tons of walls, or even start building fresh defenses (which will be active as I mentioned in point 2!), all of this after the whole "level weight" of the clan has been calculated. This makes a huge difference especially for the lower bases for whom upgrades are relatively cheap, so they can pretty much buff all their walls by one level and place a few defensive buildings and have them active for the war, just by saving a good amount of gold and using the war loot as a funds extension for this purpose.
Once a war has entered into preparation day, war bases should not reflect any changes that take place in the original base aside from buildings rearrangement/movement!
4- Wars are expensive!, they cost a lot of elixir, so I think people should be rewarded extra elixir during wars by other means, like for example, when your base performs a successful defense you should be rewarded some % (like 50%) of the resources spent in the troops/spells used for that particular attack.
There are also other concerns besides these, but they've been discussed already and hopefully will be amended soon, like being able to save a war base design, being able to opt out of wars, being able to dump defense reinforcements in the war map, etc.

Couldn't help but notice how hogs walk through most bases with little or no trouble. Yall have adjusted the loons power to stop them from doing this, you should look into doing the same with hogs. Unless you have a TH10 hogs are basically unstoppable. :cool:
