Clan Wars match making is horrible
The match making is so imbalanced, you better hope you're on the overpowered side
No to Donation history for Clan Wars

Actually I'm one of ten co-leaders in an eleven member clan haha. So I am a "Co-Leader" :).
All kidding aside though I support a feature to select which members are to be the war participants and who will be spectating. Then probable troublemakers could just be designated as spectators, if they're spectating then they can't mess with the donations cause they're not in the war. Then see if the stupid donations stop.
I just agree with Supersteve that a donation history would just be too "hardcore". Just trust your clanmates or give them the boot, that's it. I'm sure after after playing a few wars you already have a good idea on who to boot. It's painful to see a bad apple ruining it for other clanmates. But
It's not fun being checked on like little kids.
I play this game a lot, but casually. A donation history just doesn't feel casual or fun. Feels like having a real job and having to hit a quota. I do agree though that Clan War CC donations should count towards the Friend in Need achievement and receive exp points because big generous donors should get SOMETHING back at least.
So yeah NO to any features for Clan War CC donations. The Friend in need tracker for donations is good enough.
P.S. I forgot that the eleventh member of our clan wasn't a co leader yet. Thanks for making me check! Cause he forgot too!
Well yeah CW is not for farming

Mido the war loot can actually be pretty big if you take down a high level opponent. And if you're an experienced farmer I'm sure you could figure out a cost efficient army for fighting so your net loss could go down!
But the thing is Resources aren't why you do clan wars. It's to get together with your clan and figure out how to WIN period. And how to get recognized (I'm sure some kind of leaderboard is coming for Clan Wars). Not, how to win with the best net payoff.
Clan Wars is an organized competition about who is better. It's got nothing to do with farming. I'm sure Supercell doesn't want to replace farming with Clan Wars.
Chat room between war enemy add fun!
I wish you could opt-out. My clan is disintegrating due to Clan Wars.
I am a casual level 110 player.
I prefer farming.
I don't understand how Clan Wars truly works. I wasted hundreds of thousands of elixir on a massive army, then I tried to scout some bases but it wouldn't let me. So I attacked and turns out the base was ridiculously hard and I lost everything. I'm a new dad and I have a job. I don't have the time nor inclination to care about Clan Wars.
I have previously purchased gems to advance myself in this game. I won't be buying any more gems.
There needs to be a better payoff for attacking. I can't build 2 armies of 20 dragons and then donate huge expensive troops to my clan for such a measly payout.
My clan is splitting up and basically that's been the only reason I log in to donate and accept troops.
Wars: Clan culture change, opt out in the future?
We've seen a change in the clan and while we've seen more activity , the changes we are seeing are not necessarily for the best.
Our clan is Adults only. We have a good mix of people but we've had 3 good players leave in the last 24hrs.
All three active people in chat, donations and regular raiding.
The feedback we are getting:
Going to war too soon:
Right after a war, we got challenged within hours. Many wanted a cool down or a choice to accept the challenge. There is none, and we lost one player because of it. He didn't want to do it again within a day of the last war. From what we know he's gone to a small clan below 10 so he won't be required to War. He's was an original member.
Wanting to Opt out:
Members want an Individual Member Opt-Out option, a quick poll indicates that it is the highest desired feature next to a saved battle war base layout. We have 2 groups in the clan, some social players and some love the competitive players.
A) Social/Farmers aren't liking that they have to change their bases and learn new battle tactics to raiding big guys (often with poor results), they can't opt out. They are either resenting it or talking about leaving.
B) The competitive players are struggling with inactive and inactive raiders on battle day.
We are adults who often spent a good amount of money for gems, but we have jobs, kids, homes and outside lives that might prevent us from raiding that day. We lost a terrific player who is social on chat, donates really good troops - but has a best friend with cancer and felt she couldn't guarantee being around on battle day - she left due to guilt.
Bad Donations to War Castle Suck:
i know that seeing donation details aren't in the works (saw your post) but the fact that unlike regular donations where you can see real time who's donating... Our having to investigate bases like CSIs to figure out who did it is getting a old. Lol. The troop dump troops option will help us with the problem of people donating troops they shouldn't. I'd say our clan would really like that option as a compromise, please implement it.
The basic message is we like our clan, it's a good one and we have built good relationships out of it. We hate to see good people go and are looking to help prevent it.
Clan War leaderboard for participants.
Hey SC, just another up suggestion! I think it will be good if u can include a summary page during clan wars to see who has the highest defensive wins, highest offensive stars obtained and highest war loot achieved etc.
Its quite fun to have that rather than going thru the base one by one on the war map to see who has won how many stars OR the clan war replays page and count it manually etc. :)
Cheers~
Stuck on Matchmaking Since First Day
My clan has been searching for an opponent clan since Wednesday. My co-leader cancelled matchmaking on the first day, but after I told him, we did not cancel matchmaking, but still did not work after a few hours. Two days ago, my co-leaders and leader received a "War Ended" message, but we were not in a war. This is the fifth day, and we still have not found an opponent yet. We have cancelled and restarted matchmaking a few times now. Please help.
CC achievement / new Leaderboard
With Clan Wars giving Clan Castles more importance in the game I think it's Time to create an achievement like "mortar mauler" for Clan Castles. Since its most likely going to be well defended it will be interesting to see how many we can kill... And have a new achievement to get gems! :)
Will there be a new leaderboard to track which clans are the best at clan wars? Because the current trophy system doesn't account for clan war wins or how many stars were accumulated in a clan war. I think there should be a separate new trophy or rating system altogether. I'm pretty tired of always seeing "Quantum's Web" or "Mega" every time I go to the top clans tab.
Is it because you're afraid clans will drop clan war trophies? So they can farm weaker clans? lol...
Help! Clan wars started without leader/coleaders
I've read from other posts that they are having similar problems. A second clan war began right after our first. Is this a glitch? No one remember pressing start. Maybe like a nuke launch rule, leader plus a coleader. Maybe, maybe not. But fix the glitch please
Clan Wars Feedback after first battle
The Clan Wars is brilliant! Created lots of excitement in our Clan. 😄
Unfortunately, one of our members did not play and 2 others did not do their 2nd attack. 😳Wish we could ask who would like to be part of it as their were others who were gagging to play but we're not selected. 😕
Bit puzzled as we won and we also looted at least 280 dark elixir, but received none. Why is that? Doesn't seem right or fair as the higher trophy clan members all have dark storage. 😱😭😁
Wish we could do 1 extra clan mail when going to battle so that we can send strategy to clan members. Used clan chat but important war tips got lost in all the excited postings! 😑
Otherwise, it all went well! Nice going Supercell!
War Loot enough already!? and Re: trophy system

However.. Now being close to ending our second war i do start seing why we propably will soon stop playing war again in our clan.. Simply not cost worthy spending all that time, because you loose too much time raiding (both cups and loot) in the real game.
Problem is, you really need to go in to war with full army, spells and heroes.. And thats cool.. But not so cool that afterwards you dont have these for your real game attacks, so now have to wait 3 hours for new troops, heroes to wake up, and spells to get ready again before you can again take a fight in the normal game..
Please concider seperating these two games.. So you cook all your army/spells/heroes for normal attacks in your normal village..
..and then your army/spells/heroes for war in your war village.
This will add to the game, making war something extra to do... Not making it a choise between normal game OR war, as is now, where i think sadly war will soon loose when first exitement is over as theres just much better loot to be made with less army in the normal game.
@Jeezz, I think there's already enough war loot available. I'm TH8 and if had I fought the TH10 and beaten him I would have received 450K in elixir. That's more than enough to cover my twelve lvl 2 dragons (20K each) and three heal spells (20K each).
If I had fought the next most powerful player, there would have been 300K loot in each resource available. the available loot is there, you just have to win it.
I think like most players you're looking at this from a farming perspective. Loot seems scarce cause you're not making a huge profit. But this is clan wars... Not farming. The point is to squash the other guy, not figure out a way to rob him.
I'm sure once Supercell creates a clan war leaderboard to track results and the degrees of wins/losses (as in how badly you were able to beat the other team or were beaten) you'll see that there is something tangible to fight for in Clan Wars. Pssssst so hurry up Supercell!
Donations made in the war screen don't count towards your clan donations.

wars automatically starting
my clan is in it's third war since the update. everyone wants/needs a break but it seems like it is just automatically going into matchmaking (this most recent time no leaders were even online). Anyone else having this issue?
In regards to matchmaking
How accurate is it?
This doesn't seem right if trophies are part of the basis for a match. My clan on the left, next opponent on the right. Every one of their players is way above ours in trophies.

incentive to / force attack on top bases
Great so far, it feels like an extended revenge session for the whole clan. Except...
For mixed clans of a decent size like all the ones I know, where there is a spread of around 3-4 TH levels (e.g. TH10-TH7), the winning Clan Wars strategy seems to be far too much like the winning farming strategy - beat up on the little guy, skip the big-guns. All the best attackers, just beat up on someone 1 TH level below them, to get 3 stars. The toughest bases are just ignored. This is the optimal strategy, because in a large clan, not everyone is going to attack, and not everyone is going to win their attacks. So the best attackers need to help add +6 stars, and they are not going to do that by taking on the best bases - at best, they might get 2 stars, but quite likely 1 or even 0. My clan lost our first war, my a large margin, mainly because we didn't work this out prior - our enemy got a big win, simply by picking on the bottom 2/3 of our clan and ignoring the top 1/3. Our second clan war, we did the same, and it ended up very close.
So you end up with the top bases in a clan, filled with clan castle troops kindly donated by their clan-mates, with great designs and great defenses, all that work put in... and no-one attacks them. That's going to get really old really fast. Same on attack... my optimal attack strategy (I am TH10: 240 troops, 5 spells) is to use mass hogs on a TH9, and get an easy 3-star win, against a base that I know non-hoggers in my clan might only get 1-2 stars on. We have plenty of skilled hoggers, and more on the way, so this is only going to get worse. I practised GiWiWi/GoWiPe/GiWiWiPe for a week prior to Clan Wars, trying to reliably get 2 stars vs TH10. But it's pointless doing that, or balloons which I also know well, when I know that my clan can't beat all the TH9 in the opposing team. So to help the clan try and win, I just look down lower, and hog a TH9, because I know that's the only strategy to reliably get 3 stars - everything else can only get 2 stars (unless the base is terribly weak).
And yet I'd much rather see my base, the TH10 that I'm investing so much time developing, get attacked. And I'd much rather be attacking fellow TH10. As it stands, that's just not a good strategy - I have to hang about in Masters to get that experience, which is a real shame. I'd much rather that regular play be where we farm i.e. pick on the weaklings and rob them of their stuff, and Clan Wars be the place where it really is a fair fight. I don't want to be forced into joining a TH-only clan, to get decent clan wars action...
The solution? I have a couple of ideas:
- Only let a base be attacked a second time, once every base has been attacked once.
- Only let people attack within a certain range of their rank within the clan. For example I am #4 on our Clan War list, in terms of base strength. I should not be allowed to attack below, say, #9 on the opposition list. Similarly, no opponent below, say, #9 should be allowed to attack me (this stops people sending their lowest guys in to scout out your clan castle, for example).
