I dont get get how the base preparation works in clan wars. If you rearrange your base to a war base on prep day then during the war will your regular base be the same layout as the warbase? Or does my regular village not be attacked? I didn't quite understand the FAQ much on those parts so please help me.
I'd Love to know too! I think you just change up your base to what you'd want it to be and the nmaybe just leave it like that...? I really have no idea
On preparation day, there'll be a replica of your village, call "war base", you design that base, not your village.

Edit : This means your normal village is linked to War base until the prep day is over. THEN it's copied permanently.
Till then whatever changes you make in your normal village will directly result in changes into the war base.
This is where his concern comes in. What if he can't login just few hours before his base is Permanently copied. i.e just before the prep day ends.
This leaves him no choice but to make changes earlier and that resulting his base being left exposed to the farmers.

When you clan goes into war, the preparation day starts instantly. Now you have 24 hours on the timer to make any changes you want to.
Whatever changes you make to your normal village will be reflected on your war base.
you can get raided like normally ofcourse for the loot but those won't be clan war attacks.
Once the timer hits 00:00, it's THEN whatever the condition your base is in, will be COPIED permanently and war day will begin.
Once timer ends, your war base is permanent for your enemy to attack and you CANNOT change anything.
You will not lose any resources if your base that has been copied as war base gets owned :p

just stick your TH outside to get a shield, and then reorganise to suit the clan war.

But whatever changes happen in your normal village, they are permanent. if you get raided normally, you will lose resources always.
In short : Normal raids on your village will cost you like usual but Clan war raids on your war base won't cost u anything
