Ummm... Not trying to sound like a jerk or anything but. You do realize clash of clans isnt like facebook or xbox/ps3 or any other social media or video game where they can hear your voice or see your face to make fun of. This person doesnt know who you are what you sound like or look like or if you have friends or not. Not trying to justify by saying what he did was right it was wrong, but you cant take things too literally in this game. This person was probably trying to get a meaningless laugh from ur clan mates and my question is did you persistantly ask him to stop... If you did probably not the best choice because that person probably wouldnt have kept going if you just didnt respond. But like i said this is a game where this person could be living on the opposite side of the world from you, my advice is hey realize that there is an infintismally small chance that this person knows you and when you say you have zero friends (which i feel bad for you sorry) then im assuming nobody but your parents knows you play this game. Anyway running off topic there but point is you cant take things from people too literally ESPECIALLY in a game like this. Just close the app if it hits you that deep and get him kicked from the clan. Just remeber being repetivie but its important things cannot be taken literally from people in a game like this hope this helps you in realizing that this guy could not be serious in what he said if he knows nothing about you only judging you on your base and level.
Moral. Dont take things too seriously and just ignore and walk away if it bothers. Hope this helps. Damn this was like writng an essay lol
Game is for 13+
Just saying, you have to be able to ignore idiots and move on. If you can't do that, then rethink clanning, maybe flying solo for a while is your best bet; I did it for my first 8 months because being a female created to much attention. Overall, this is just a game. Who cares if they were talking trash? Don't let that affect you...
Report it to SC straight away, when they reply see what they say, then maybe report it to your local police.
Hi Defiant,
Thank you for having the courage to do the right thing, taking a stand against bullying, creating this post, reporting to supercell, and leaving that clan. I sincerely hope you find a great clan and meet new friends who treat each other with respect. It can take a long time to find the right clan, don't give up ;).
You don't think it's happened before? It's an online game. I'm sorry, but you need do need to excercise a level of maturity to know that 70% of the people that play this game are under 12 years of age. I'm not trying to sound superficial, but you need to get used to stupid comments. You don't see any of the other women on here making threads complaining about inferred sexual abuse over global or clan chats, do you?
Your welcome. I hope no one else starts recruiting. Often, the best clans are found by forums. Look for a friend. My first clan fell apart, and its been a year, but I can never stay in one place anymore. It hurts to have that happen to you. What is you gamecenter, by the way?
I see by your choice of forum name that there is spirit in you Defiant, and that can only bode well for you into the future. The world is not a fair place and the internet seems to amplify that fact. All anyone can do is make decisions for themselves as you have done in leaving the clan you were in. Recognising the weakness in the coleaders is a credit to you and such decisive action on your part will be a useful tool for you when you encounter contrary behaviour in other places and times to come.
As many have said, there are a lot of clans out there full of respectful, delightful people and this forum is the best way to find them. Good luck in your world Defiant, but I don't really think you will need that, you have already taken great strides in controlling your destiny.
That stinks Defiant. I would hate this if it happened too me, so I feel for you. Like you I don't really have very good friends. It stinks. Stinks.
Hold your head high, remeber that all the forumers think that you are awesome, and ask your leader to kick this guy. The leader should. If he/she doesn't leave the clan, cause they aren't the best people.
Good luck!
First of all it would be nearly impossible for them to find this person and if this person doesnt live in the U.S. or even id he did. he could live in a state where cyberbullying is not as strictly tolerated plus the police wouldnt get involved unless something happened to the person being bullied like them actually attempting suicide even then its over a a video game thats nearly impossible to know a random person by chance so nothing would happen
I completely agree.... They didn't follow the rules so they have to live with the repercussions/punishments.
Be smart and follow the rules, you did the right thing reporting them. Eventually in life maybe they will learn to be more responsible with their approach and what they say to people. :D
PS- if they had immediately apologized after saying what they said I would feel better about it but let SC decide on what to do from here. Also, just get back to enjoying the game and don't worry too much about the other person or clan. Plenty of good people out there to meet! Enjoy. :)
Again, YOU DID the RIGHT THING... Good on you.
Resources, time that they could be using to catch raipists and murders not some 10 year old trying to get a laugh out of mayb 20 other people in the clan that were online? Mayb even less? Yea a massive waist if time is an understatement (not trying to downsize your own individual feelings defiant)
I'd like to think that the guys' intention wasn't to upset you, but I can't be sure. You'll come to learn that there are really oblivious people who just say the first thing that comes to their mind not realizing how others will perceive it. There are also people who are unhappy with their own life who knowingly try to upset others. They hide behind keyboards and try to cause as much chaos as possible. Just be glad you aren't one of those people. As for your friends saying "LOL", don't take it personally. I wasn't there when it happened, but over text or in chat it is hard to tell how mad someone is. If they knew how much that upset you, they definitely would have had your back. I don't think the case needs reporting, although the choice is up to you.
Report it using the Support email Definat,if you have screenshots of what he did and said he can be banned from clash if clans for his racist slurs or cyberbullying,no place for bullies in a game.
just ask ur friends to kick him:mad:
You have to remember. This is the internet and people can say whatever they want without any risk. Don't take it personally.
Ignore him, If you're getting bulled on Clash or In Real Life remember to ignore him, ask one of the supercell staff to ban jason
You know who is awesome? Read the first word again. :)
If your clan is more concerned about sucking up to a high lvl player in the hope he will stay than sticking up for their lower lvl members they wont last long.
also I'm sure there are plenty of people on the forums who are a higher lvl than the guy who is picking on you and would be happy to drop in and give him a taste of his own medicine;)
You need to seriously redefine your attitude and adjust your outlook if you can easily be offended like that. Yes, it was wrong. Maybe you should not have cared so much. I haven't had the greatest life either; I have never experienced bullying, but I imagine it works because you let it get to you. Buckle up kid, life just gets tougher.
LEAVE THE CLAN! iam not gonna accept some freak come in and harass my clan mates if your elders n coleaders didn't do anything you shouldn't be there.
This is totally unacceptable, get a screen shot and send it to sc. Im pretty sure that will be the end of his clashing days
Never get emotional because of a online moron. This just gives him fuel to the fire and keeps it going. If you ignore idiots they tend to go away or get upset and cry cause stuff isn't going there way.
I think the biggest issue for the OP here is that the people in the clan who he thought were his friends turned out to be, well....not his friends. As noted, his real life support network isn't the greatest for whatever reason and it stung. Thats called human nature.
His reaction seems pretty balanced here considering these points. Suggestions to just "buckle up" or whatever are like just telling him to never put his guard down and look for a sense of acceptance and belonging. Its just not a realistic suggestion.
OP, that clan has been exposed as gutter scum - that sort of behavior is an insta-kick amongst semi-decent clans peopled by self respecting individuals. In the long run it'll be better to have had this happen and not waste your time with them. Just do your best not to take it too personally.
So, for your next clan, look at general personal conduct issues and maturity over any other considerations and things will work out. Many if not most of the forum clans mention how you interact with clanmates first and foremost amongst their rules, so I think you can avoid this sort of situation in the future.
Firstly, report it to Supercell and hopefully they can take some action against this guy. Second, don't let it get to you. It's easier said than done, but in the end you'll become a much stronger person if you don't let it get to you. Hopefully the guy won't harass you anymore!
Hello OP, people can hurt you only when you let them be. Remember this is a game and we have a long road to go in real life, and people are not going to stop being mean.
Walk tall and walk proud. People can hurt you only when you appear weak.
A.) It doesn't matter what random internet guy says.
B.) Screenshot what he said and show it to a mod or admin, maybe they can do something about it.
Just wanted to say, this thread warmed my heart. So may times it is arguments and banter on the forum. Glad to see the community at large reach out and be supportive. The internet has created a new breed of creep. They are hard to ignore, as much as you try. Just keep your head up and do your best to surround yourself with positive people, even online.(especially more accurately)
Anyway, best wishes and take care!
Darrell
Sympathy is good to a certain point. Overdoing it won't help.
Now many won't agree but lets take an example. What happens to the kids whose parents always stand by their side and show sympathy all the time and never let the kid deal with it learn to move on?
Don't be serious all the time. Sometimes people get to your head. Instead of taking it seriously, figure out your ways to get rid of their words from your mind. it's hard but not impossible. sooner or later, you will have to. sooner, the better.
By saying that spend a week in my shoes and you'll know will not help you. it will just make u feel more sorry and more depressed.
his actions were rude but you gotta enlighten up. It will help u a tonne in the long run :)
listen to songs, watch comedy movies or TV ( big bang theory LOL )
I ride my motorbike when i feel upset or i just go sleep. One nice nap and i don't even remember anything XD
I'm sorry you had to experience that. I'm glad you reported him to SC.
I'm all for a bit of banter in clan, but this kind of abuse is not acceptable. The person needs to be reported and banned. OP make sure it is done in game and not just here.
Those co-leaders needs to take a long hard look at themselves too.
However, I would recommend you try to not to let this get to you. There are loads of people like this on Global, and the wider internet. A thick skin will serve you well in life. But, clearly, that is not to condone the behaviour.
OP welcome to the internet people will say things thinking that they can hide behind a cloak of anonymity - the truth is actually the opposite, people are always accountable for their actions - think Prism. Actually what they want is attention, the best course of action with Trolls is not to give them any attention, ignore them basically.
Anyway I think this one has run it's course so i'm closing it, good luck.
