for a TH8 with CC 25, what are the best troops to put inside the castle for defense?

Yea, the title pretty much sums up my question. lol xD

I'm a TH8 who just upgraded her castle to a capacity of 25. I normally ask for archers since they can shoot down pretty much anything (unless you know, a lightning spell decides to kill them all off..which really really sucks).

With clan wars coming, is it okay if I stick with all archers or is there a better troop that can be put inside?? Sometimes I ask for wizards, but not a lot of people in my clan have them at a good level yet...so I'm worried that they might not help much at all if a high-level attacker attacks my war base. The only solution to this is to have all of us with level 5/6 troops donate to all the people participating in the war, right? But then that'll be a bit hard on us then..sigh. .__.

Witches would defenitely be best, but I doubt you've got that available. Wizards are second best for defence, but as you said they aren't used much either. Dragon is another solution, non lightningable, can toast sooo many archers/giants at once, has alot of HP, but if lured and surrounded by archers it's still pretty easy kill. I usually prefer wizards or dragon. Currently got a witch lvl 2 in there, survived several defences in a row, and even tho the rest died, it's pretty awesome ;).

If your attacker doesnt lure first then witches are fantastic.

Archers simply because of the number are a great one to have.

Valks will splash damage your attackers.

Sad to say, as much as I'd want to get a witch it there we don't have ones yet xD aww I want to get one of those awesome troops soon! Maybe I'll just spam my leader to give me his wizards/dragon, and in exchange I'll give him mine lol

The day our leader makes witches is the day I bug him to give me one lol xD I think nobody in our clan makes them yet, sadly.

I was also considering valks, but practically most of the people who can make them in our clan think they're pretty useless and won't even bother making them sigh.

There are so many different ways to answer this. It depends on what is attacking. Ive seen people have issues with dragons, wizards, witches, all archers, and golems (although you cant hold them). This being said. I guess you cant really go wrong with a dragon, a wizard, and an archer

Yea i think that a drag + wiz + archer would be something flexible enough..thanks a lot! :D

Kumusta ka na :D

They can work well on offense and defense. I like to use them on high level heroes when on offense (raiding). Lure both heroes to the side of base you want to attack from (make sure AQ jumps outside walls so can get hit) then release the CC combo on them. Those skeletons keep the AQ crossbow busy. I'll drop a few minions too on BK. That way when your troops finish off the heroes, the attack can proceed on the side you wanted to hit anyways with whatever survives.

I like wizards, witches and archers. Minions are also good because some troops can not kill them. Also vales can be great in the cc

I find minions and archers work the best. They have range and take awhile to kill all of them.....slows the offensive troops down and allows for splash damage to take care of business......might not be the most powerful troops but gets the job done for me. Goodluck!

OT- ah no I'm American. But I work with some Filipino peeps and pick up a little language here and there. :D Haha plus I get to pick off some lumpia at lunch break sometimes! Yum:cool:
