looks pretty good. i assume he is smart and uses his gems entirely for barrack boosting so he can raid persistently.

That would be my guess. I personally spend about $20/mo. to boost my barracks and raid about 2 hours a night and maybe 4 hours on saturday and sunday. So, basically I get the equivalent of 72 hours raid time each week for much less real time because of boosting.
My goal is 2 lava walls per day while keeping my builders rocking and it's been going really well.

No life? Possibly. Domination? Definitely.
