What the WB update says about you as a player

Just one thing to keep in mind, as I've seen a fair share of people whining about this like it is the end of the world. The complaint I say most is that this change will benefit the "casual" players and attempt to keep down the "skilled" players.

Here's what I think... If you were a skilled player to begin with, you should have a much easier time adjusting to the new mechanics and finding a way to arrange your base in such a way that gives you a good defense than a casual player. Therefore, even though everyone is on a level playing field with it being a fresh start, you will still have an advantage because of your "skill" and "strategy" knowledge.

If this is too big of a task for you, you were just abusing faulty mechanics to defend your base previously after someone else figured out an effective method for you. Don't worry, there will be new methods once us skilled players figure things out and you copy us, so really the change is temporary.

I don't see any way how a skilled player doesn't look at this situation as having an advantage over the playing field. There's a lot of people who will not adjust well, and they'll be easy pickins. Lots of loot coming this week folks :)

There really isn't an advantage, I'm against this update as well... We will now see a decline in creative bases that challenge you to think about how to attack it and an increase in boxed bases where "How many wall-breakers should I use" will be the majority of the thought process

Exactly the mindset that will keep you from finding a layout to effectively defend.

How are you going to predetermine how something works and pass judgment on it when you haven't even played with it yet? lol... That reply basically proves the entire point of my thread. Enjoy your uncreative box... I'll be the guy that took all your gold and you fail against on the revenge :)

I'm just lazy to rethink strategies after i have figured things out already.

Just because i'm smart doesn't mean i like to take 10 more exams.

But what if you only think you're smart because the exams you were passing before were a sham? This exam will be legit and it will tell you if you were really smart or just copying smart people :P

How is that? You will still be able to copy the smart people, even if the "test" is harder. Just means it is different. In a week or so, probably less, there will be effective base designs up and going, and they will spread just as others have done in the past.

What if i know for sure i'm not copying smart ppl because i wrote the exam paper on my own?

Change it once, adapt. Change it twice, adapt summore. Change it again, kinda fed up. No this isn't referring to the wb only, but CoC strategies in general. Like pekkas getting more damage.

True, but since we are all starting fresh there may be a reasonable period of time before there are generally accepted "best" strategies to copy, so it's kinda like an arms race for whoever figures out the mechanics quickest. Fish in a barrell if you will. No one else is excited? :(. There may be multiple days where the majority of people you come across have mediocre bases for the people who understand the mechanics properly :)
