Clown Wars: The Update that Never Was
Just for fun, I've decided to do some mechanics drafting and come up with what Clown Wars might have been like had it been real. This is based on:
http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...Clown-Wars-FAQ
http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...n-wars-tactics
and maybe https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/clownwars too.
My goal is to make pretty much every one of the Q and As of the first two threads relevant. Here goes...

Summary:
- The Pie Oven can bake special all-purpose pies to help out attacks and defenses. However, with only a pie oven, they can only be used for attacks.
- Choose a pie in the troop selection bar, then tap to fire. This will deal splash damage and cause special flavored filling to spray everywhere. Depending on the flavor of the pie, this could have different effects, from stunning buildings to healing troops.
- The Pie Oven takes a 3x3 space.
- Pies are created and stored in a similar manner to Spell Factory spells.
- Build special buildings and traps to help make the best use of pies, such as the Clown Car or Pie Catapult.

Summary:
- Use the Pie Catapult to throw pies at your enemies.
- The pie catapult is not armed with gold like other traps, but with pies made from the Pie Oven.
- This trap will either throw a pie out of the attacking player's device, or block the screen with pie filling images for a time. (The laws of physics support the latter.) The end result is the same either way: distracting the attacking player briefly while your other defenses make hay.
- Use higher level pies to block more of the screen/be stickier, and upgrade the trap to last for longer.
- You get 2 pie catapults at Town Hall 5, and two more at Town Hall 8.

Summary:
- Use the Clown Car to help improve upon the low pie capacity of your Pie Ovens, or use the special powers of the pie flavors to your advantage in defense.
- Like the Clan Castle, the only way to fill the Clown Car is by requesting help from your clan. Requesting pies works exactly the same as requesting troops, except that pie requests have a yellow donate button.
- When troops get within 7 squares of the Clown Car, a barbarian will pop out of the clown car and throw donated pies at different parts of the enemy army, activating their special ability and damaging their targets. Once triggered, the Clown Car has a range of 12 squares.
- For every pie donated, the donator receives 50 XP. There are no limits to how many pies a player can donate per request.
- You can use Clown Car pies to arm a Pie Catapult.

Summary:
- The Clown Ringmaster is a hero unlocked at Town Hall Eight.
- He is cheaper and faster to buy than the other heroes overall, but low stats and only 10 levels means that the Barbarian King and Archer Queen are more effective in the long run.
- However, the Clown Ringmaster takes the least time to regenerate.
- The special ability varies and is randomly selected upon buying him. Each ability can only be used once, but you get a new one 2 weeks after the old one.
- The Clown Ringmaster is the only hero that cannot summon units.
Miscellaneous Stuff
Pies:
- Basic: No effect other than damage. Cheap and fast to make though.
- Apple: There's something magical about fresh apple pie. How do we know? Because it can create a troop spawn point anywhere there's not a building or wall right on it.
- Banana: There's nothing like a little flash of yellow filling to startle your troops. Place this pie to scatter a cluster of troops and make them less vulnerable to splash damage defenses or spread out to attack more buildings.
- Blueberry: The cool blueberry flavor is a favorite of the rugged forest Barbarians. Place this pie to bring a few (~3 or so?) reinforcements in.
- Sour: The acidly sour flavor will eat right through the enemy. After the initial burst, all buildings or troops within the radius will take additional damage over a 60-second period.
- Pumpkin: An instant reminder of Halloween, your troops will be hankering for loot in no time. Use this to change favorite target from Defenses to Any or Any to Resources for a limited time. Doesn't stack, and Goblins will get a small damage buff.
- Chocolate: The sugary goodness is irresistible to troops; troops in a medium radius will lose interest in their current target building and come to where you set the pie. After they reach the filling, they will behave as normal.
- Mississippi Mud: The opaque flavoring covers leaves a mark on every square with a trap or Hidden Tesla in an area.
- Creamy: Sends a massive spray of cream to stun buildings in a large radius. Go for a few defenses and keep them stunned almost indefinitely, or repeatedly stun briefly large clusters of the enemy's resistance. Extremely powerful but also incredibly expensive and time-consuming.
4-Starring Bases: Bases now have up to 4 stars available. In order to earn the fourth star, you must earn 100% destruction, and still have enough troops left over to handle a wave of clowns at the end. The clowns come from the ruins of the town hall, and act similarly to Clan Castle barbarians. Their exact stats vary based on the experience level of the base owner, and appear in numbers depending on town hall level. The clowns' AI, however, is such that they will spread out to keep wizards and Lightning Spells from being too powerful against them.
Clown Special Powers: You can get any of the following special powers for the Clown Ringmaster. You can get the same power again after use, but you'll never get one power twice in a row.
- Honking Nose: His special-wavelength nose honk sound is extremely encouraging to attacking units. All units across the board will get a 30% damage boost for the duration (50% at level 2).
- Squirting Flowers: This is no mere practical joke; his is a special high-pressure water pump, blasting powerful water at anything in his path. The Clown Ringmaster will stand still long enough to turn in a full circle, jetting every building he faces with a hose-like attack. This does double damage to walls. Level 2 increases the damage.
- Juggle Master: The master at juggling has the skills to throw one ball with tremendous force while still keeping the others in the air, and then replace the ball with one in his pocket without skipping a beat. For a time, the Clown Ringmaster trades in his normal attack and starts juggling balls, throwing the balls at buildings to attack. This is an Archer Queen-range ranged attack, and does twice the damage of his normal strike (3x at level 2).
- Elephant Rider: This mighty elephant can take the most brutal damage, and is at the Ringmaster's beck and call. The Clown Ringmaster starts to ride the elephant for a time. The elephant lasts until he takes 2,000 damage (3,000 at level 2) or until 20 seconds have passed.
- Defense Reaction: The Clown Ringmaster certainly knows how to entice a reaction from people, though sometimes it's not laughter as one might expect. The Ringmaster sends a clown pulse out every second for 10 seconds. Buildings within a radius are affected; automatic buildings like the Cannon use their next shot to shoot the Ringmaster instead of their previous target, Archer Towers and Wizard Towers fire at 2/3 the speed for a few seconds, and Clan Castle Troops change targets so as to avoid the Clown Ringmaster.
Visual Changes:
- Barbarian: As in the Clown Wars picture.
- Archer: As in the Clown Wars picture.
- Goblin: Instead of simply 'dropping in' when you place them, they swing in on a trapese.
- Giant: Has clown makeup like the Barbarians.
- Wall Breaker: Is shown playing a piano for carnival music. Instead of dropping a bomb, the piano simply explodes. Hog Rider not included.
- Balloon: His basket is suspended in the air by a lot of party balloons, not one big balloon.
- Wizard: As in the Clown Wars picture.
- Healer: Her face is covered with clown-like makeup
- Dragon: Flies through fiery hoops as he flies.
- PEKKA: As in the Clown Wars picture.
- Minion: Shots he spits make flowers appear briefly at the point of impact, replacing the Dark Elixir burst.
- Hog Rider: Switches his hog with a trampoline that follows him around on wheels. He places another one after jumping a wall.
- Valkyrie: Switches her axe with a lion tamer's stool.
- Golem: Stone color is changed to bright, circus-y colors.
- Witch: Her summoning animation is changed from one ring to three smaller rings, like a three-ring circus.
