In which of these situations is it alright for a friendly clash player to give the Luphy?
1. Bob asks for a troop other than what is default for his clan.
2. Steve is arrogant and condescending to his clanmates.
3. Craig has been in the clan 5 minutes and wants a dragon.
4. Pedro has been in the clan for a year and only wants max wizards.
5. Latoya is requesting air troops and has 29/30 filled.

giving unasked for troops is just passive aggressive ♥♥ in my opnion
I never liked default troops, we don't have a default donation in my clan.
Someone wants to request L4 valkyries, they can wait until someone who has built them turns up.
If I am going to do balloon/minion what do I want with archers or wizards if they are the default?

Yes, since there is no air troop that can fill the space, I'd a useful troop, like an archer.
Most of the time, I just ignore requests that I don't want to donate to tho.
For those of you who don't know, the luphy is when you gie somebody a troop they don't ask for.

To boot #3 without clarifying it with them would be a potential mistake IMO. Some people are just getting going and getting their feet wet.
It all depends on situation so I personally would let each of them know of their 'oops' and give htem a chance to rectify it. Some people forget to change their text for requests too leading to some of those potential LUPHY situations mentioned.
