The story keeps getting better, but since I don't want to slander anyone I will reserve me comments to pm's.

Here's a scamming method that happened to me before:

The person that wants to trade with you demand to receive first. Afterward he'd tell you to go to his farm and wait at a certain slot or buy the 1 wheat last slot. The twist is that he already asked a friend beforehand to wait at that slot too. So when he puts the goods up his friend would grab it quickly. In the end, you would end up with nothing and he probably going to get his goods back from his friend and he would put the blame on you for not clicking fast enough...

I hope whoever reads this be aware so you won't get scam. Make sure you're trading with a verified/known trader on the forum. If that trader is new or never trade with anyone on here before (check their post history) then you should always ask to trade first.

I have never once had anyone complain about my trades since I found this forum. Other that trying to trade with ratios in my favor and not budging on ratios when I'm hard up. We can just have a forum moderator go back and check my history with trading and see that I have no complaints. And leave it at that.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and unfortunately the presented scam is sometimes happening, but luckily I'v never encountered them myself.
I do though have I "mini farm" on another device, and it has happened a few times that I have felt obliged to pick up items on that farm when I have realised that the other party was not responding, or being disconnected, but then only for the sole purpose of being able to preserve the goods for the trading part.

Luckily most of us get along nicely :D

I return the 45 bolts that I have left from trade and the I'm out 100 tape and nothing to show for it but the 5 bolts that I used. Next time I trade I will make sue there are no adds up.

If your a regular trader then you should know better then to run an ad while trading. That is what you yourself posted as to what happened during that trade. Bound to have huge mess ups by running ads while trading, either wait until your ad stuff is bought to answer a trade or post one of your own, or spend the 1 diamond to throw the advertised item in the trash.

If it was me, and I made this huge mistake doing a trade, I would immediately without question return the items I got from the person I was trading with, that is the only true way to square up your mistake.

if you want to change that, example trading nails for planks, 2:1, mine:yours
