Do you do this weird thing too?

I'm at the stage where money has absolutely no value any more, so I am just playing for the XP and the vouchers.

that means that selling items to roadside customers is not profitable, and hasn't been for a long time. No matter what they ask for, I will only ever get 5 XP for selling it to them, and I am regularly throwing any truck order that gives less than 900 XP in the bin, so doing ANYTHING for 5 XP is a waste of time.

Anyway I find myself constantly tapping the roadside customers and sending them away, as if I expect that the next one might have some modest request that I could want to grant for 5 XP, even though I know that will never happen.

is it just me who is OCD'ing over a simple game, or is it a common behavior?

Disregarding events I only help the little folks when they ask for simple crops. I have found them a great method to dump my wheating crops :). You might wish to look at the achievement for x visitors, but when it comes to barn items I rarely if ever sell anything to them.

I have most of the acheivements, including the visitors one, so that motivation is gone too.

Probably a dumb question, but is the game still fun anymore when money doesn't matter? A lot of my enjoyment is saving coins for the next machine, trying to make as much as I can with my RSS, trying (unsuccessfully) to keep my shopping finger out of the paper. Seems like not having something to save for would take enjoyment out of the game. Maybe a higher level player can excite me about getting to the higher levels?

I wish we could train our pet dogs to chase them off.

Many players at higher levels (those who have all their machines and are able to make all items in all machines) have said that since they are not in need of coins, they love to play in order to help others, mainly by filling boat crates, as well as selling premium items in their RSS very inexpensively.

This is also another reason for the weekend events...gives them something to work on for temporary achievements, or if the event calls for items to be donated (like when we did B&E, cookies, popcorn, etc.), they make as much as they can and then give it away or sell it for cheap so others can use it toward their goals. :)

I don't have any dogs, so that wouldn't work for me. :) I only sell Tilley and the gang things I harvest that take forever to sell in the RSS, ie eggs and bacon and occasionally wheat and corn. At this level, the XP required to level up is so much that I am both grateful for clearing my barn of unwanted bacon and the pitiful 5XP that comes from the sale. I do wish that SC would be a little more generous with the XP when it comes to truck orders for players at higher levels. I trash everything below 500 XP, but sometimes those orders require quite a lot of goods, even if the XP is below 700, and the coins are laughable. there is nothing left to strive for, except levelling up, but it's a huge chore, rather than a fun challenge. And for what? 4 diamonds? If it wasn't for my Neighbourhood and the great chat in the cubby, I would be seriously bored by now.

I still have two donkeys, unlocking some items, getting some stars on the newest machines and three acheivements left to go for, but you are right, when you get this close to having completet the game, you don't log in quite as often, and you pretty much finish your business as fast as possible, and then log off.

I am in a similar situation. I hold two of them hostage so they do not keep on coming. By the way, the two I am keeping are asking for wheat. I did this purposely just in case I mistakenly press the button and sell them the stuff.

My goals now are:

1. Wheating for LEMs
2. Mastering new machines, feed, and coffee kiosk. I only fill truck orders that ask for items from machines I still need to master, even if the XP is low. Not worrying about leveling up.

Yes, game is still fun and entertaining, but I do wonder sometimes what will happen after I open the new land and master all machines.

I wish I could say the same.... about having too many coins. I don't think I'll ever get over 100,000.
