How can I play the game at a high level, but casually?

So, a lot of you might know me. I started this game 2 years ago in December, but I quit in June. Now, I'm back in the game because my friends have started playing. However, the main reason I quit was because I had no time to play. Grinding and raiding for all of the gold needed for high level upgrades is hard when you can only fit in two or three raids a day. I just upgraded to TH9 (I just finished upgrading to TH9 10 minutes ago) but I see all of these expensive and high prices, and tell myself how to get those. I am a farmer too, but trophy hunting is fun to do once in a while.

I already have a couple of things in mind:

• Find a good Farming Range
• Get a good layout so others don't take much from you
• That's it :[

To answer the question posed in the topic of this thread: you can't.

Maintaining a high trophy count while being relatively inactive on your account is all but impossible. Consistent raiding is necessary to make up for the trophies you may lose while being raided by opponents.

My advice to you would be to drop your trophy count to the Gold league, where you will find you won't be attacked as much by lower town halls levels. This way, the trophies you gain from minimal raiding will end up being greater than the trophies lost.

I am farming to max my TH9 at 1400. I think that gives the best loots (usually avg of 200-250k gold)

I'm at 1400 too. I get some good raids. However a lot of the layouts I see in your sig are either TH10 or garbage. I will try the only decent TH9 one though. Also where did the TH8/9/10 base design threads go? If someone could link me to the TH9 one I'd be grateful.

This works fine so long as you don't need DE. But DE is so helpful when put towards upgrading your heroes. This is why I am happy to take a bit of a hit on the amount of gold/elixir available to raid (avg 150k-200k of each after about 15-30 next clicks) by staying around gold 1 or crystal 3 territory. Although the average gold/elixir rake is a bit lower, I can quite easily find between 800-1200 DE each time I raid, which over time really helps collect enough DE to keep your heroes upgrading quite frequently. Of course, this all depends on the number of raids you can put in each day, but as a more casual player, you will rely on those DE drills as your main source of DE income, so I would get both of those drills to max lvl6 ASAP for TH9, since they will be earning you 4800 DE per day (or 9600 per day during this 1gem boost period going on now).

It's doable, you the more casual you are, the more you depend on your mines/collectors/drills. Keep your TH outside in hopes of TH snipers giving you cheap 12-hour shields and even if you can't play much, try to log in to empty the collectors/mines/drills as often as you can. Other than that, raid a few more times extra each day or be very patient.

I'm TH10 and I raid 1-2 times per day (one in the bus in the morning and one in the bus in the evening).

People only snipe my TH so I lose less than 2k each day. And I make 450k of each + whatever I farm. So I can build one upgrade per week easy. I'm now working on my teslas because they are less expensive and take loads of time to build. I managed to have all my builders busy.

as a TH9, this is much harder because if you are too high TH10 will crush you. And if you are too low, TH7 and TH8 will lightning your DE.

Just forget your DE until you can upgrade to TH10 (stick around 1600 T) and then, like me, float in crystal 1-2 to build your DE. I make around 5k DE each day just riding my shields. So my barb king is upgrading constantly. I'll do that until he his level 20, then do the same with my queen. We have a TH10 in my clans who makes 2-4M gold each day around 1600T so it's possible to farm good ressources that low. Make sure you upgrade your DE storage to max so you lose less ressources to lightning
