TH10 upgrade due to Clan Wars?

OK, so I've been contemplating something the last couple days.
Background on my base:
I'm all about maxing my base for TH9 before going to TH10 and that's what the plan has been all along. I'm sitting good on walls with full lego walls and 17 lava's (and climbing), but my defenses are still about 60 days out from maxed defenses.

I am mostly maxed in the lab with exception of golem's, pekka's, and jump spell (never use).

My farming strategy is BAM, or BARCH exclusively and I've got maxed troops for that and it won't change from TH9 to TH10.

So, my thought is with Clan Wars coming this week (fingers crossed) that I want to maximize my defensive strength as much as possible in the coming weeks. I am thinking about bumping to TH10 and get 2 inferno's and another X-Bow and be far stronger defensively than I would be staying at TH9 and fully maxing my defenses over the next 2 months. Offensively the addition freeze spell and the extra spell slot would make my offensive attack much stronger as well.

I'm a farmer at heart and am always waiting on builders with plenty of loot to spare (hence the walls), so I'm not concerned at all about the loot penalty of going to TH10. I'm not super preemie by any means so I'm seriously considering pulling the trigger and going to TH10 early for the defensive buff.

I haven't fully committed yet, but I'm curious what you guys think in the context of Clan Wars. Obviously outside of Clan Wars and just farming the answer is to wait, but Clan Wars has me rethinking things.

What do you guys think and is anyone else thinking of bumping up a little early?

Do it! The IT and xbow is huge for defense and the extras spells are as well.

The match making will also be determined by your TH level. You're sitting pretty with legos as a TH9, I'd suggest maxing your defenses before going to TH10.

as a new TH10 it'll be nearly a month before you have the new X Bow to a decent level, the infernos built, spell fact/lab upgraded, and your new army camps. During that time you' be facing TH10a with legos and infernos. So make the most out of clan wars before going to TH10.

But it will take into account that those things are not up to snuff yet. Simply upping the TH wont automatically make it loads more difficult.

That's the wildcard in this discussion. I know that TH level is a factor, but so are defenses and walls. Meaning at TH9 with full lego walls, I would likely get paired up with a TH10 anyways if he had max IT/Xbow and skull walls for example.

It takes your average defense level, who's to say he won't run into a bunch of TH10s with 1-2 defense buildings weaker than his, yet they have infernos? Upgrading the TH could make CW a lot tougher.

Just like the other algorithms in the game they will remain secret. Hopefully it wont take long to reverse engineer them and find what importance each upgrade has.

Infernos are so much more effective then any other d. Not having them will be a huge disadvantage, especially if they take your walls into account as high level walls don't really help much on defense against cup hunting troops

It's not a 1vs1, it's a 30+ vs 30+. If he's uncomfortable against a base, his clan mate will deal with that instead of him. If the opposing clan has more th10, he'll have to attack a th10 either way.

I understand this, I'm speaking from a strategy stand point. If everyone that was 1/2 way through TH9 had the same idea and made the jump to Th10 they'd be at a big disadvantage against other th10s with infernos.
