I just pushed to master league 3 yesterday. I raided twice and lost both. I don't know what to do now in master raid wise. I only have level 4 minions and level 5 balloons. That is what everyone seems to be using now. Does anyone have any other useful strats? It would be quite appreciated if you did and told me. :)
colt when i got to master i always found myself losing raids with conventional raids. the most effective have been
1: Hogs :mad:
2: Balloons and minions
3: Gowiwi(golem, witch, wizard)
all of these need alot of practice but once you hone them in you should be golden

Do all archers.
L5 Ballons are pretty bad up there. Minions L4 are ok. You need to upgrade your Balloons to L6 if you're a TH9 or start using Hogs if you're a TH8. That or a mass Dragon which however will be expensive as hell.
You can still win with lvl5 loons and lvl4 mins. There's heaps of videos on youtube for looning. You can try barch but if you're starting out with it you need to count the buildings until you get used to it. Around 30 exposed buildings is 50%. Drop a line of barbs on one side, follow with a line of archers. Repeat on all sides it's pretty easy if the base has deep xbows and infernos. There's barch vids on youtube also.
I have been in masters for 2 weeks now and thankfully am leaving tonight :)
I used L4 hogs with assorted wizards/arch/barb/heroes to climb to about 2650 and from there I had to get good with loonions. I used loonions (but mine are both maxed for TH9) to get to 2925 but you have to patient and pick your battles very wisely.
One day I used only barch or mass archer but didn't like it as much as I found I needed to be more reliant on my heroes and therefor wait for them to heal or gem their heal time for 10 gems every two hours. My hogs also reached L5 a few days ago but would not trust using them against the high powered bases unless you have freeze spell which I don't have.
So yeah. You could get loonions to work but I think barch or mass archer would be more up your alley if they are max level. Good luck. It is a pain up here and not worth the time you need to spend playing imo!
I think a lot of people get scared when reaching masters but it really isn't that big of a change from high crystal1. Well of course there's more TH10's and a lot are maxxed out but I think much is in your head.
I've used Barching and balloonions to reach Master 2 where I'm currently farming.
Just be patient (and smart) about the bases you choose to raid and you'll be fine! Be sure that you can win before raiding! At least in the beginning, until you get warm enough:)

Yeah, a player in ITD was around 3600 with archers only. Works the same way as barch. Pick bases with lots of mines and stuff outside. There were other strategies involving Golems. One from CC one in camps and they were able to two star bases.Quote:
