Boost event entices active players to become more active. When they are active (online), they are not put into the MM queue. MM now has a smaller active player pool, and dips more into the relatively inactive player pool to find bases for you to destroy.
That wasn't so hard now, was it?
This has probably got more to do with the release of Boom Beach. It is also no coincidence that the release of boom beach and clan wars are so close together. SC wouldn't just release a game if the only thing it does is cannibilizing players from their other games. There will of course be interest in trying BB out, so they release Clan Wars to keep players active in BOTH games.
Also, do keep in mind that if those players remain inactive for a long enough period, they will be pushed further back in the matchmaking queue.
All in all: enjoy the loot while it lasts :)
Personally i think its trophy range that makes all of the difference - if you lurk in gold3/silver1 then the no of actives will far outweigh the inactives.
a little further up i've found loads though. . the kind where theres so much loot that its worth the mahoosive loss.
jjust below 1600 is currently the sweet spot for inactives. I filled up my storages today and I'm now saving for my archer queen
I play more than 8 hrs a day for 8 months now non-stop. Yes, i do have alot of time in my hands a family to feed. Balancing both is quite easy, for me anyway.
This is what i have observed.
Prior to the maintenance break, loot was not bad, though nexting was becoming a habit, but still was able to find good bases to raid averaging from 100,000 to 250,000.
Maintenance break came. Now this one took longer than usual. Previous main-breaks lasted only a few minutes. But this one was way, way too long.
Right after the maintenance break, and i mean right after!, i was seeing loot over 300,000, 400,000 even up to 800,000!!!! Obviously i raided the 800,000!!! and showed the replay to my clan members. They too were getting the same amount of loot!!!
Coincidence?? NO WAY!! As i have stated before, I have been playing for 8 months and more than 8 hrs a day and there was no way in the world loot suddenly became so huge. I even went straight to the forums and posted a thread 'Loot is everywhere' right there and then and the response was the same!
And all this happened AFTER THE MAINTENANCE BREAK!
Hah! it pays to play longer each day! You get to 'SEE' WHAT'S GOING ON! I've been a gamer all my life....I know how they(devs) work.....
Ive noticed this too: there are more boost raids (obviously) but ive also noticed more 'total' inactives (ITs and xbows out of ammo). Out of interest OP, what TH level do you have?

I'm not looking to start an argument, I just think your observations are skewed. If THIS is your thread it was created 3 days after the time you stated it did. So by your own admission, with the thread provided and your statement that you came straight here to post, loot appears 3 days after maintainence, not immediately after.Quote:

Ever since BB came out i think there are many more inactive bases like a small amount of people disbanded their bases to go and play the brand new SC game. Thats my opinion, its definitely not a conspiracy and just enjoy it. I hardly even get collector raids.
I don't know whether Supercell can manage the inactive bases chance of showing up, but i think its a precaution to this update thats coming out because after almost every update the loot is terrible for a few days before going beck to the average lame loot. And with all the people that are expected to play, the gem boost and perhaps the inactives is an attempt to even it out
