Yes, it's a ring base. Yes, the DE is exposed. Yes, the Clan Castle is a joke. But, I've found it fabulous at winning defences. I've taken a lot of inspiration from layouts where walls encompass nearly all buildings. They are such rascals when trying to achieve 50% from ground assault. Credit has to go to fellow Azurian 1moregame who took this design to 4k and still managed to win defences. I don't have that tenacity. I have kids. I have to log out between raids.

My thoughts...

Eight wins and seven losses. I'll take those numbers at this level.

When taken the Town Hall always fell to high HP troops. Maybe single mode inferno could provide effective results.

Note the number of attacks using five spells. People go all out for the win here. Cups is everything.

Notice the single star defeats less than 50%. Even when everything is thrown at the Town Hall a second star can still be challenging to achieve.

The Dark Elixir isn't protected well, but along with the Clan Castle and other storages, when attacked from that side, it provides a massive shield that is tricky to break through to the Town Hall.

I really like the look of this layout and I think I'm going to have a change and try out the Ringus II, I'm thinking about moving the Air Defense in a layer and move the DE drills, any reason you don't do this? I've just started my first attempt at getting to Champs currently just over 2900 trophies.

St Albans is pretty close to me too, I live near Stevenage so in the same county!

Ah, Stevenage is just up the road from me. Re: Air Defence... give it a go. Should help keep the dragons at bay. Report how effective it turns out.

In other news the Azure family have created a temporary popup clan called "Azure Blur". Please stop by if you want the game's best troops in your Clan Castle, want to talk strategy (a few of Azure's best hit 4k recently) or express an interest in the new Azure clan opening soon, "Azure Depths", which will be a TH8+ all war all the time clan. As with all Azure clan we are strictly 18+. I'll be regularly visiting over the next few days too with camps full of all sorts of rubbish to hand out.

It's been fairly effective, I'm getting close to Champs now using it but I still lose a lot of battles, mainly to 50% balloonians or sometimes 2 stars with combinations of Golems, Witches, Wizards and Pekkas and full spells but I guess most bases are going to lose to that?

I might come over to the Azure family to see how things are. I normally stay with the same clan as I've been there pretty much from the start with them and my girlfriend is in there too, but she doesn't play too much.

Just wanted to share my modification to the trophy base (link below) because I know there is a definite lack of resources available for TH10s. I tried to repurpose the trophy base into a farming/transformer base. So I sectioned off the storage pairs into their own compartments. This allowed a larger core which I utilized to bring the DE and CC in. Biggest flaw I see is the ability to break into two section at once on the perimeter single fire/mortar compartments. Don't have enough attacks to show how it performs yet. But I think I've finally found a base I like at TH10. Thanks for the inspiration!

Ive seen this base a few times up in masters and find its VERY easy to barch for a star and grab some of the storages

What do you think Ringus II can do in clanwars? Main goal is to prevent getting two stared!

I used this base on a recent one week push. It did very well against a variety of attacks. I won 7/10 raids when using it. I moved my th to corner overnight to not get raided 3-4 times. I'm trying it in wars now to see how it holds up. Awesome base designs I use the farming one as well and it's very successful.

For the farming version, these are the changes that I've made:


- Top cannon goes to outside, left side of the base, to extra DE protection;
- The new mortar on top, at the place of the cannon;
- New traps, one at the middle (raplace the Air Bomb), one between GB and Air Bomb (Left side) and the third one at the side of air bomb and two GBs, down the base. The Air Bomb from the center, moved it to the right side of the base along with the other air bomb;
- All ADs moved next to Elixir Storage, replaced by the DE Collector.

If you move the AD you break the ring and therefore lost the point of the ringus base
