Speaking of Dodgeball...

First, thanks to Supercell for listening to feedback about Wallbreakers. This will make the game much more interesting, and this is a big change for gameplay improvement. I appreciate you all dedicating the time to fix something that is not going to directly generate you revenue...I am sure it will bring you much value in the form of client retention as this will make the game more playable for everyone involved. Thanks also to the few reasonable people who backed me up in those threads in an attempt to better gameplay for everyone.

Secondly, to all the trolls who derailed thread after thread where I even vaguely referenced that wallbreakers were "broken", how's that foot taste? Looks like Supercell agreed. Sorry in advance that you cant add a handful of wall pieces to your outer base walls to make it completely invincible anymore. Now you will have to depend on actual base layout strategy and not AI exploitation to keep your resources :)

Cool now we are going to see a bunch of uninteresting bases where all the do is stack walls or square off every defensive tower and storage.

The wallbreaker algorithm wasn't flawed, you just didn't know how to use it properly. Yes some bases were harder to break into, but it required strategy. If you took the risk and properly planned it out, then you got the rewards of great loot. That's too hard for some, so lets complain how WBs are flawed and hope they make it easier.

Also, just because SuperCell changed the algorithm doesn't mean you were right by any means.

I agree! It's a good fix. The spikes were cheap tactics. Totally unrealistic. People are just used to the way it is now, they will adjust.

Since you couldn't effectively use the old wb's, I highly doubt you will be any more successful w the new ones.. The old didn't bother me in the slightest, and the new don't bother me either. The game constantly evolves and part of being good at it is changing tactics as needed. I suspect that the new wb's taking up 2 spots will make them slightly less effective than the old due to the same number getting gunned down by defenses.. Time will tell...

Just because I think that the way they functioned was stupid, unrealistic, and bad for the game somehow means I did not know how to use them properly?

I raid 4 mil a day. You don't find enough cash laying around outside of people's bases to bring in that much. Clearly I know how they function. That has absolutely no bearing on my feelings about the gimmick spike defense people used to abuse their AI, myself included. Just because something can be mastered does not make it a good gameplay decision.

Carry on kids... Enjoy finding a way to make your "boring" base layouts stop the raiders. Say what you want about me, haters gonna hate.

I was not one of the people who responded to wallbreaker AI in the first place, but this isn't as simple as Supercell agreeing or disagreeing. "Broken" is an interesting term. I wouldn't consider them broken, since many experienced players have found how to manipulate and control wallbreakers effectively and usefully. What the wallbreakers are/were is frustrating to newer players, and players who haven't taken the time to understand their depth. Supercell didn't necessarily agree they are "broken." What I believe Supercell acknowledged was that this unit was too frustrating to the majority of the community to use. What they are going to need to do to keep ALL their fanbase is make it reasonably effective for the casual player, while still retaining depth in understanding for expert players to manipulate.

But trying to stay on topic in responding to what you specifically said: wallbreakers aren't broken, they are confusing. Supercell isn't necessarily agreeing they are broken, they are agreeing wallbreakers are confusing. No need to try to it rub in everyone's face.
