Why are we unable to change our names?

If possible can a mod or supercell support person respond? I'd like to know why this is not possible. My gamer name is my first initial and full last name. I want it changed and don't understand why I was told it couldn't be.
i've played for about a year now and at lvl 108 so restarting isn't an option.

You have contacted SC and found out your reason. It has to be your full first name and your full last name, or something inappropriate.

Someone doesn't like you? Change your name.
Pointed out to be a stalker? Change your name.

haha well i wish they let you change it at a top of one time. i would also like mine changed but since its not going to happen, might as well get used to it

Think of this as a good suggestion when they implent it and 500k subscribers changes their name into "Daddy" and then you are butthurt, because you can't find the real "Daddy" anymore.

Am I the only one who takes my time to think of a name before starting a game?

They should make name changeable,atleast by using certain amount of gems to change it
