Why are we unable to change our names?

I can understand SC's reasons for not letting people change their usernames but you should at least be able todo it once!

edit; and the fact they let people have the same name should let people change it tbh

Why? If my IRL name is George (it isn't), and I meet another person named George, do I change my name to Billy?

Changing your name isn't allowed for many reasons however it can be changed ONCE if it contains your first and last name or is offensive.

We should be able to change it just once.

Microsoft is bit bigger company also. Supercell is a small company with a huge player base compared to their size. Mobile gaming industry being what it is Supercell is also one trend away from being out of business. Even today their support is swamped by player request with weeks of backlog. Imagine if people were given the option to request name changes?

Sorry, you can't change the name of your village. Your villagers wouldn't know where they live!

Changing names in other games is 100% automated. This is not. You take a real humans time up by doing this.

Lol. Using Xbox Live as an example.. Dude that microsoft stuff. :confused:Though Hay Day (a Supercell Game) allows you to change your name..

Hay Day isn't as interactive with raiding etc so it wouldn't cause problems with name changes, but with Clash it would be a mad rush with name changes.
