The Geronimo: A TH 8 Farming Base Design
Hi everyone I am Geronimosemiro and my IGN is colavanilla347.
One of the first forum posts I saw where Pingfao's Grand Tesla Theme Park design and Junliang's Pokeball. I was instantly amazed by these two and started using them. However I was not content by using other people's bases. I constantly used other people's bases up to TH 8 when suddenly it didn't really seem right. It isn't patented or something but as an individual player I felt like I was loosing my own uniqueness. That's why I started making bases of my own. With Ping and Junliang being my role-models of course, but I don't think I will ever match them :D
So with further ado, I present to you: the Geronimo, based of my forum name.

Features of my base (v. 1.2.)
1. Split storages
People stay you have to lump together to stay strong. I guess they didn't play coc. Storages grouped together can be wiped out by rushing goblins with a rage spell on support. Split storages while being well protected by splash is a big feature of this base. Elixir may seem quite exposed however elixir is useless to me and act as tanks and distractions.
2. Staggered Junctions
Exept for the intended T-junctions with the fake compartments (the little 4 filed with little bombs) all of this bases compartments can only be opened one by one. Also, the staggering of walls serve as a distraction for Wall Breakers, as they sway to the side and open up the fake compartments before having a chance to get into even the second layer.
3. Funneling
You might think the funneling sucks because of it's excruciatingly short length and think that the giant will go straight inside. However the giants get distracted by cannons one the side and keep following a trail of archer towers and cannons before arriving at death. This is achieved without even purposely funneling them.
4. Trap placement
Trap placement plays a big role in this base. The base is design so even if the opponent opens the compartment to the storages the goblins have to run a bit to get there. A nasty surprise awaits as giant bombs on every side of the base blow them out of the game and protect my precious gold from harm.
5. Symmetrical design and towers covering entire base evenly.
First symmetrical designs are good because no matter which side the opponent chooses it will be the same. Evenly placed towers also boost the 'symmetrical' power as the opponent will struggle to find a weak point. Mortars are a little off but it's still pretty good.
6. Anti-Archer Mechanism
The tiny compartments with the bombs and spring traps may seem useless, however they work fantastic against archers. Take note of the gold storages behind the little compartments. Without those, archers will take everything in a matter of seconds. With these little compartments, archers can not shoot the storages and will shoot the cannons and walls instead. Even when they have broken the compartments they will receive huge damage from the bombs inside.
Geronimosemiro, signing off. :)
