Freeze spell, the only thing can stop those IT
I only have a Town Hall 9. Any other solutions that don't involve upgrading Town Hall.
Look for ones set on single and bum rush them with tier 1 troops like barbs and archers. Minions too for quicker damage if you have a few barbs or giants tanking to take fire.
That's only if they are in the wide open though or you aren't taking on other fire. Most cases there are several defenses also firing (esp splash) in which case freeze or good luck it gets risky.

wastoid, I'm not computer literate.:o:p Not even sure how to do that and am not at my ipad (I snipe/bum rush THs for a living BTW ).
The basic idea is simple, throw down barbs to test for traps/bombs etc in front of TH and IT (plus checks for teslas) then pause to see what you have. Then hit the teslas with BAM if they are in front of TH and IT is behind TH or else hit IT if it is in front of TH and teslas are behind. If both IT and teslas are in front of TH, throw everything at those defenses.
This is obviously a push strategy (wasting tier 1 troops en masse to get a star) so may not be what you're looking for if farming.
By targeting the defenses and not the TH first, you help throw all your DPS at defenses hoping to overpower their DPS output to knock them out so they can no longer hit you. Eventually your troops that are left will turn to the TH after the defenses are clear.
If you are doing a 50% raid with infernos deep in base then obviously as others mentioned, freeze. I don't even have that yet as a TH 7 so take this advice as an opinion of a new player just getting going but that has successfully taken out a few loaded ITs outside walls this way.
At th 9 you should be able to farm pretty well without the need to go up against inferno towers. Unless you are pushing just avoid them.
For multi-mode infernos, use high HP troops, under rage. So for example level 6 giants (with AQ behind), level 3 pekka, level 4 golems, high level King - these are all available to TH9. I've personally used pekka and golems with my heroes to successfully 2-star TH10 with multi-mode infernos, and had my own TH10 core trashed by just giants, wizards, and heroes under rage spells. Your biggest problem, in my experience, will actually be getting the internal walls opened up, as it's pretty hard to get wall breakers past the multi-mode infernos - you either needs lots of troops soaking up all the hits while they rush in (preferably under rage), and/or use opposing clan castle troops / heroes to suck your own troops into the core, and/or a bit of luck / skill on clearing a nice path to the centre.
IT set for multiple attacks 5 troops at a time. use 5 pekkas, 15 wizards, 5 wbs, 4 hogs, 15 archers, 10 barbs. 1 jump spell and three rage. if no jump spell, then use 10 wbs 5 archers. 4 rage spells. use hogs to lure cc troops out, then use barbs and archers to move their heroes and cc troops to a corner. have ur clan mates give u giants in ur cc. once their in the corner use cc troops(giants) as meat shield and use 5 wiz and rest of ur tier 1 troops to kill them. then release pekkas then wbs followed by rest of wizards then drop rage spells in a line straight to the core. IT set at multiple even at lvl3 only dies 42 damage, it will take a while for ur pekkas to die and with rage spell the pekkas dps will be high enough to destroy everything in its path. i prefer if use jump spell with rage, it will be quicker. but rage should do fine. should give u one star if not two. freeze spells r most effective but if done right u can still get the IT without it. make sure to look for a base with most bldgs inside, so your pekkas dont go wondering off around the base. also look for a spot on a base that has two layers leading to the core of the base. but with jump spell just look for the weakest spot in the base to get to the core. p.s if ur farming, dont bother going after bases with IT's. this combo is for trophy pushing th9.
