It because you have been online for too long, it once happened to me too
Clash Of Clans Doesn't want you to play for like 4 hours straight
And
they do this because they don't want the top 100 champions in the league to ♥♥♥♥♥ and stay on and not get raided

Happened to me for the first time yesterday. I was surprised to see it, but I appreciate it. I had thought that there was no timeout, favoring players that had nothing better to do than play all day and frustrating those who want to revenge. ;) I think the required break period should be even longer: at least 30 minutes.
How long is it at the moment?
And wasn't it at some time like this, that it only showed up when one's been online for at least 10 hours? :rolleyes:

I think I was online for about 4 hours straight, but it might have been 6.
The break period is for about 3 minutes.
I had this happen to me about 10 times xD
Happened to me only once yet (didn't play again for about one hour after that, so I didn't know how long the break really was).
It was at a rainy evening when nothing really cool run in television, and I think I played from 09:00 PM probably until deep in the night at 02:00 AM or so, and then again after an hour or similar 'till breakfast... *lol*

There was no break originally which lead to top players staying online 24/7 and never getting attacked, when it was implemented it was a short break after 8h of playing, it has been reduced down to 6h now.
It's really just to avoid the top players chéáting not the concern about ppl playing to long, the about 5 min break is enough to guarantee a attack in the higher leagues, that's why it's not longer. SC wants us to play as much as possible after all :)
